"Did you serve in the military?"
Professor Zheng asked straightforwardly as soon as he opened the door.
"Yes."
Shen Chi Yi replied succinctly, as always.
Su Mingxian couldn't help but twitch her lips; the way these two communicated was quite something. Just as she was contemplating whether to change the subject, Professor Zheng suddenly looked at Shen Chi Yi seriously for several moments before finally asking with a stern expression,
"What is your relationship with the Qin Family?"
Shen Chi Yi was taken aback by the question, his gaze sharp as a blade. Finally, he replied coldly,
"I have no relationship with them."
Upon hearing this, Professor Zheng frowned tightly, clearly unconvinced. However, seeing Shen Chi Yi's unwillingness to elaborate, he chose not to press further.
Su Mingxian, feeling confused by this exchange, wondered who the Qin Family was.
Before she could ponder more, Wu Xiumei had already pulled her aside. "Xiao Su, is this really your husband? Not bad at all—handsome and reliable, having served in the military."

"Nothing much." She clasped her hands together and said, "I just really admire you."
Su Mingxian twitched her lips, confused. "What do you admire about me?"
"What else could it be? That's Professor Zheng! Sister Xian, not only do you know her, but you're also so familiar with her." At this point, seeing Su Mingxian still looking bewildered, Xi Shanshan couldn't help but exclaim, "Sister Xian, you can't possibly not know Professor Zheng's status, right?"
"I know! She's a university professor. What's the big deal?" Su Mingxian replied earnestly.
Just then, Fang Dahai suddenly slammed on the brakes. Xi Shanshan let out a small gasp and rubbed her head. "Fang Dahai, do you even know how to drive? That hurt!"
Fang Dahai quickly apologized, "I'm sorry, I'm really sorry."
"Do you really not know the identity of Professor Zheng?" she asked weakly, glancing at the rearview mirror.
"Do you think I don't know enough already?" Su Mingxian retorted immediately.
Fang Dahai fell silent.
At that moment, Shen Chi suddenly spoke up, "Just drive."
His voice was cold, and there seemed to be displeasure on his face.
"Oh, okay, okay, I'm driving now," Fang Dahai said, quickly closing his mouth in response to Shen Chi's attitude.
Xi Shanshan pouted and whispered, "Sister Xian, your husband is so fierce."
Su Mingxian looked exasperated; he had been fierce for quite some time now.
"But since he doesn't want me to say anything, I have to say it," Xi Shanshan leaned closer and whispered, "Sister Xian, let me tell you, this Professor Zheng is no ordinary person. He's a titan in the business world and a heavyweight in academia. If you can get even a little guidance from him in your business dealings, you'll make a fortune."
She paused for a moment before continuing, "So when I saw that you two were familiar with each other, I was shocked. Therefore, Sister Xian, I've decided that no matter what business you start, I want to invest in it."
"What?" Su Mingxian looked bewildered and quickly shook her head. "That's too reckless; absolutely not."
