"Why not?" Xi Shanshan said stubbornly. "I heard from General Fang that you, Sister Xian, are in the Liangpi business and have opened a Food Processing Plant. I want to invest." 0

Fang Dahai, feeling tempted, chimed in, "Um, Sister-in-law, I—" 0

Before he could finish, he was shot a cold glance by Shen Chi, leaving Fang Dahai looking dejected. 0

"I'll invest one hundred thousand. How does that sound?" Xi Shanshan said, her big eyes sparkling as she looked at her. When she saw that Su Mingxian remained unmoved, she immediately put on a pitiful expression and pleaded, "Sister Xian, I only have one hundred thousand in savings. I can't spare a single cent more. Please agree to my request." 0

Then Xi Shanshan began to employ various tactics to persuade her, but Su Mingxian showed no signs of wavering. 0

Finally, gritting her teeth and holding her breath, she said, "I have a piece of land in Pudong." 0

As soon as those words left her mouth, Su Mingxian was taken aback, and Fang Dahai nervously asked, "Really? Where is it? How big is it?" 0

Even Shen Chi glanced over with interest. However, Xi Shanshan bit her lip awkwardly and replied, "Um, it's not very big—about five or six acres." 0

"That's still quite substantial," Fang Dahai said with a smile. "Sister-in-law, you should agree to her. You have no idea how high land prices are right now and how hard it is to acquire land." 0

Su Mingxian was also stunned but shook her head. "No way. A Food Processing Plant isn't worth that piece of land. I can't take advantage of you." 0

Fang Dahai opened his mouth in surprise but ultimately gave a thumbs up. "Sister-in-law, you're so righteous." 0

Shen Chi glanced at Su Mingxian again, unable to suppress a smile. 0

Xi Shanshan hugged Su Mingxian tightly and turned to Fang Dahai, rolling her eyes. "Do you think everyone is like you, you greedy fatso?" 0

Fang Dahai pouted. "What's wrong with being greedy? I'm not making money through dishonest means." 0

"Miss Xi, why don't you consider partnering with me? Our company has great potential. You could invest your land as a stake," Fang Dahai suggested persuasively. 0

Xi Shanshan shot him another glare. "Don't even think about it. If it ends up in your pocket, how could it still be my money?" 0

Fang Dahai feigned innocence. "How can you see me that way?" 0

"Hmph, who told you to be that kind of person?" Xi Shanshan was not easily fooled. She then turned to Su Mingxian and said, "Sister Xian, I'm serious. I genuinely want to invest. My family thinks I'm not cut out for business, so they only introduced me to this... cough cough—" 0

She quickly stopped herself and continued, "But Sister Xian, you don't have to worry about taking advantage of me; the truth is, I haven't secured that land yet." 0

"What do you mean?" Fang Dahai asked in surprise. "You haven't secured it yet, but you're trying to pull a fast one?" 0

Xi Shanshan became angry upon hearing this. "What nonsense are you talking about? This isn't pulling a fast one! That land may not be mine yet, but once I make enough money, it will be mine." 0

Everyone was taken aback, and Su Mingxian looked at her and asked, "What's going on?" 0

Xi Shanshan awkwardly explained the situation. 0

Indeed, the wealthy often had their share of drama; that piece of land was a test given by the the Xi Family to their children, and her competitors were the siblings from other branches of the the Xi Family. 0

After finishing her words, Xi Shanshan tugged at Su Mingxian's arm and said, "Sister Xian, just agree to me, okay? Instead of letting those ungrateful wolves take advantage of this great deal, it’s better to let it benefit you. After all, good fortune should stay within the family." 0

Su Mingxian: ... 0

This silly child, do you even know who the outsiders are? 0
