The Master gently stroked my head and said, "That is the Changsheng Pill." 0
"Each one can extend a life by a thousand years." 0
"I have saved up for several thousand years to gather five." 0
"One of them was used to ensure your safety." 0
I lowered my head and remained silent. 0
The Master patted my shoulder and said softly, "Go rest now." 0

I returned to my room but found it impossible to sleep. 0
A few days later, I heard the news that A Yu's dragon father had moved away and disappeared. 0
I asked the Master, "Do you regret it?" 0
He smiled and replied, "Regret? What is there to regret?" 0
"You used something so precious to exchange for my life." 0
The Master looked at me seriously and said, "You are my disciple; once a teacher, always a father." 0
"As a father, there is nothing that is worth or not worth it, nothing to regret." 0
"As long as you are well, I will be satisfied." 0

I silently vowed to repay the Master well. 0
When I woke up, I found myself lying on a familiar bed; the Master had returned. 0
He touched my forehead gently and asked, "Are you awake?" 0
I sat up, feeling a bit lost. "Where did you go?" 0
The Master chuckled, "What? Were you worried that I would abandon you?" 0
I lowered my head again and said nothing. 0
The Master stroked my head once more and reassured me, "How could I?" 0

"You will always be my disciple." 0
"I will stay by your side until you grow up." 0
I looked up at my master and asked earnestly, "Really?" 0
He nodded, "Of course it's true." 0
"When have I ever lied to you?" 0
I smiled happily. 0
I felt as if I had the whole world in my hands. 0
But happiness is always fleeting. 0
In recent days, I had been feeling unusually drowsy. 0
My body was also accompanied by intense itching. 0
My master prescribed some medicine, which I took, but it was of no help. 0
At first, the itching was mild, just a little bit. 0
As time went on, it became more severe, and I could only scratch incessantly. 0
The more I scratched, the worse it got; I simply couldn't control myself. 0
I felt like I wanted to tear my own skin off. 0
Seeing this, my master gave me a pill. 0
After taking the pill, I indeed felt much better. 0
Finally, I could sleep soundly. 0
In the middle of the night, I was jolted awake by a wave of intense pain. 0
I tried to open my eyes but found my eyelids heavy. 0
I wanted to call for my master but realized I couldn't make a sound. 0
The pain was unbearable; I slammed into the bedpost. 0
Once, twice, three times... 0

I lost track of how many times I had collided with the ground until the pain finally subsided. As dawn approached, the agony came to a halt at last. I let out a sigh of relief, thinking I could finally rest. But little did I know, this was just the beginning. 0

My skin began to peel away from my body. For an entire day and night, my body shed a complete layer of skin. Weak and helpless, I lay on the bed, unable to move. My master held my skin in his hands, caressing it gently, meticulously exploring every corner without missing a spot. Once he finished with the last bit, he smiled in satisfaction. 0

Long Luan walked in from outside, smiling as she said, "Master, it's ready." My master nodded and headed outside. I was curious about how she ended up here. 0

Long Luan approached me and said with a smile, "Sister, I'm going out for a bit." I wanted to ask her what they were going to do, but words failed me. All I could do was watch helplessly as they left. 0

Sounds echoed from the courtyard. Struggling, I crawled to the window and looked outside. There, I saw my younger brother. He was hung upside down from a wooden beam, his skin pale from being soaked. Beside him was a large pot, boiling with fresh blood. 0
