I poured all my consciousness into a powerful strike against the stone. With no spiritual energy left, I could only draw on the external spiritual essence. With a loud "boom," the stone shattered in response.
At that moment, I caught sight of him.
In my mind, I saw Fu Yiyun in the Saintess Hall, laughing and chatting with the Saintess. I couldn't hear their words, but whatever he said made her cover her mouth and giggle.
Fu Yiyun must have sensed the stone's destruction, glancing toward the Saintess. I heard him say,
"She truly goes to great lengths to disrupt our meeting, resorting to such despicable tactics."
"Does she think that shattering the stone will allow me to seek her out? It only makes me feel more disgusted by her."
I watched as the Saintess smiled alluringly and said with understanding, " Ge'er really doesn't know any better; how could she make such a joke at a time like this?"
I didn't have the courage to look any further. I knew that no one would come to save me.
Resigned, I closed my eyes.
"I'll go first; you come next, little brother last."
I was subjected to humiliation by three men in turn, blood staining the ground.
I lost track of time until I passed out. When I regained consciousness, it was to the torment of excruciating pain.
Last night had marked my downfall, and Gu Poison had struck early.
I felt something writhing within my insides, as if it were about to break free.
I forced myself to stand up, my clothes torn into shreds, but I didn't have the time to care about that. I just wanted to die quickly.
Before me lay a vast sea, and as I breathed gently, I felt a sense of freedom.
Step by step, I walked into the water until it reached my chest.
"Chu Yige! What are you trying to do?!" I turned to see Fu Yiyun and the Saintess standing on the shore.
Fu Yiyun shouted in anger.
"The Saintess never wanted you dead! She has treated you well just to drive you out of the Hehuan Sect. How can you be so ungrateful?!"
I scoffed and continued to wade deeper into the sea, sharp stones cutting into my feet, blood mingling with the water.
I replied, "Never wanted me dead? What a joke."
"The Saintess is so pure and virtuous; why must you be so stubborn and tarnish her reputation?" Fu Yiyun said.
The Saintess intervened, raising her sword to stop Fu Yiyun from attacking me. " Ge'er doesn't understand; don't hold it against her."
I tilted my head back and laughed heartily. "I don't understand? Saintess, you truly put on a great show."
"Fu Yiyun, if you still have a shred of compassion for me, then just kill me with one strike. At least I could die more easily."
"You so-called Saintess, she has cast the Gu Poison Punishment on me!"
Upon hearing my accusation, the Saintess immediately feigned innocence and said, " Ge'er, what nonsense are you talking about? How could I ever do such a thing to you?"
The Gu Poison was already close to taking effect, and I didn't want to waste more words with them.
But I couldn't help myself; I wanted the truth to be known far and wide, to let everyone see how malicious this so-called Saintess truly was.
"You brought three men to humiliate me yesterday. Am I just making that up?" I spoke calmly while walking toward the center of the lake.
The Saintess's words were clearly laced with panic as she replied, "What are you saying? That's simply slander."
"Fu Yiyun, weren't you the one who planted the Phantom Stone in my body because you didn't trust me?"
The Phantom Stone could reveal my past.
I casually continued, "You can take it out now and see what happened last night."
Seeing my determination, Fu Yiyun felt a stir of emotions within her, and the Saintess noticed their wavering hearts.
She then said, " Ge'er, if you still have a shred of conscience left, come back."
