Wu Rong pinched Rao Jie's cheek and said, "You've finally taken the first step; don't let the simplest questions scare you away. Now you need to consider these few options. If you're worried about the Romantic Language issue, that's fine. I can teach you personally. You have a talent for learning languages, so it shouldn't take too much time."
Rao Jie couldn't help but laugh, "You really have paved every road for me, letting me choose whichever way I want."
Wu Rong candidly replied, "I can't wait for you to decide so we can sign up quickly. I want to take you away from here."
Rao Jie paused, suddenly recalling what Ye Ming had said before—that Wu Rong could leave but didn't want to because she couldn't bear to be apart from her.
With this thought in mind, Rao Jie considered her options. "As for the Romantic Language, let's forget it for now; I'll have another chance to learn it later. I don't want to waste this time, and I'm not specifically looking to study French Pastry."
Wu Rong nodded. "Then let's narrow it down further."
With Wu Rong's rational mind guiding them, filtering through the options became easy. Looking at the final selection of schools, Rao Jie felt that their differences were minimal. Since that was the case, they might as well choose the one that would benefit them the most.
She pointed to one of the school profiles. "How about this one?"
Wu Rong was taken aback and looked up at Rao Jie with a smile. "Is it because of me?"
Rao Jie nodded without hesitation. "Since they are all quite similar, we should naturally choose the best one in London." Then she turned to Wu Rong and asked, "What about you... do you want to go back? Didn't your teacher contact you recently? He must be worried that you might run away and not return. If I go with you, will there be a place for me to stay?"
Wu Rong smiled playfully. "Of course, wherever I stay, you'll stay too."
Rao Jie couldn't help but laugh.
Wu Rong kissed Rao Jie on the cheek and said, "Alright, it's settled then."
With the school decided, Wu Rong took care of submitting all the necessary documents for Rao Jie since she was most experienced with studying abroad.
Now, all Rao Jie needed to do was inform her family about her decision.
In the days following their decision, Rao Jie told her family that she had decided not to continue her graduate studies.
"What? Not pursuing a master's degree? Didn't you pass the written exam? You only have the interview left!" Rao Gang immediately asked anxiously. "Are you having doubts? There's nothing wrong at home; if you want to pursue your master's degree, we will support you."
Huang Xiang opened her mouth as if to speak but remained silent.
Sitting across from Rao Gang and Huang Xiang felt like a formal meeting for Rao Jie as she said, "I've thought about this for a long time. I don't want to study economics; I... I love making desserts. So I'm planning to become a Pastry Chef and will look for a school to study properly afterward."
After she finished speaking, both Rao Gang and Huang Xiang stared at her in disbelief, struggling to process what she had just said. Knowing it would take them some time to digest this news, she decided not to elaborate further.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Are you saying you want to be a pastry chef?" Rao Gang couldn't comprehend Rao Jie's thoughts and questioned her with an altered tone.
Huang Xiang exclaimed in shock, "Not pursuing a master's degree is one thing, but given your current situation, you could still find a decent job! What are you thinking? How could you have such a strange idea? Are you planning to be an apprentice? Or is it one of those apprenticeships where you have to pay?"
Huang Xiang and Rao Gang's opposition was entirely within Rao Jie's expectations. She had mentally prepared herself for this, so she felt nothing at the moment.
