Yun Zhi Yue clutched Nan Jing in the car, sobbing uncontrollably as she gazed at the indifferent man. "Are you even human? Can’t you comfort me a little? Is that too much to ask?" 0

"Stop crying," he replied. 0

Yun Zhi Yue glared at him. "Is that all you have to say?" 0

Nan Jing pinched the bridge of his nose. "What else do you want? Hurry up and cry. Once you're done, I need to get back to work. If it’s not enough, I can find someone else to keep you company." 0

[What the hell? This jerk is heartless! Here I am, crying in his arms, and he reacts like this?] 0
[Why don’t you just do your job and collect souls? Leave the rest alone.] 0

Fine, a big shot like him can survive even with a shattered soul; it’s definitely not something a mere Meng Po like her can handle. 0

Yun Zhi Yue continued to whimper, turning to Nan Jing. "I’m crying; you have to hold me and comfort me. Hurry up, or you can forget about going to work!" 0

Nan Jing glanced sideways at her, staring for a moment. 0

"Say it again." 0

"I said I want you to hold me! Did your ears break or something?" 0

Nan Jing scoffed. "You really are getting dumber as you age. I’ll hold you if you promise to change your attitude first." 0

Yun Zhi Yue's face flushed with anger. "Is it too much to ask for a hug when I’m feeling down? You held me when I was drunk the other day!" 0

"That was a special circumstance," he started, but before he could finish, the faint scent of greenery enveloped him as Yun Zhi Yue climbed onto his lap, wrapping his hands around her soft waist. She leaned against his collarbone, continuing to cry softly. 0

[Hehe, this is progress.] 0
[Just a little increase in points; what a scumbag!] 0

The Reincarnation Stone watched in silence. Here she was, an actress in her own right, calling him a scumbag while being utterly shameless herself. 0

If anyone could pull off this act in the vast underworld, it would be thick-skinned Yun Zhi Yue. 0

Nan Jing's expression stiffened for a moment. He was sitting in the driver's seat with limited space due to the steering wheel in front of him. 0

Yun Zhi Yue squeezed closer, their bodies fitting together perfectly as she pressed against his chest. 0

Nan Jing closed his eyes briefly and reached out to grip Yun Zhi Yue's chin, forcing her to create some distance between them. 0

"Are you even thinking straight?" he said coldly. "Yun Zhi Yue, I'm a man. Have you let your infatuation cloud your judgment this much?" 0

"Jing Ge, Yu Ge, why don't you like me? Am I really that bad? Am I so unworthy that even the Yun Family doesn't want me?" 0

Her bright eyes were filled with tears, rolling down her fair cheeks like pearls. Clearly, at this moment, her mind was consumed by nothing but Zhou Yu. 0

It wasn't always like this; she used to call him Jing Ge without hesitation when they were younger, following him like a shadow. 0

He wondered when she started to call him Nan Jing instead. 0

Not wanting to dwell on it any longer, he gently wiped her tears with his thumb. 0

"Zhou Yu isn't right for you," he said softly. "He may seem gentle, but he has no real feelings. If you didn't have the Yun Family backing you, he would agree to be with you just for fun and leave when he's bored. But your identity isn't something he can take lightly, which is why he wants to stay away." 0

Yun Zhi Yue's face showed sadness. "I had a feeling it was like that these past few days, but I didn't want to think too deeply about it." 0

Yu Ge was always gentle; even if it was just an illusion, it made people crave for more. "Jing Ge, am I really that foolish?" 0

Nan Jing, used to being sharp-tongued, couldn't help but tease her. "You finally realize you're foolish?" 0
