Sang Yu furrowed her brows and reached out to turn off the alarm clock, rolling over to continue sleeping. 0

After an unknown amount of time, she suddenly sprang up from the bed, a dazed expression on her face as if she didn’t know what day it was. Realizing it was Monday and she had to go to work, Sang Yu quickly turned her head to look at the clock. The hour hand was already halfway between the hours, and the minute hand was about to reach the top. 0

Oh no! I’m going to be late! It’s Monday, and there’s a flag-raising ceremony. All teachers and students must arrive by seven fifty. As the homeroom teacher, how could she be late? She jumped out of bed, brushed her teeth quickly, splashed some water on her face, grabbed a carton of milk, and dashed out the door—all in under two minutes. 0

She hopped on her electric scooter and sped towards the school, running several red lights along the way. By the time she arrived at school, it was already seven forty-nine—just one minute to spare. She saw that the class monitor had already organized everyone into lines and breathed a sigh of relief. Thank goodness their class monitor was a responsible and adorable little leader. 0

Sang Yu looked at the class monitor with a gaze full of affection, leaving the young student feeling somewhat bewildered. 0

Back in the office, Sang Yu slumped into her chair, looking utterly drained. 0

“What’s wrong with you today? You almost overslept! And where were you last night? You look so tired; those dark circles under your eyes are terrible,” Yu Guoguo remarked. 0

Sang Yu replied weakly, “I don’t know...” 0

“Here, take a look for yourself.” Yu Guoguo handed Sang Yu a small mirror. 0

Sang Yu took the mirror and gasped. “Who is that panda staring back at me?!” 0

In defeat, she rested her head on the desk. She had gone to bed around three in the morning last night, meaning she had only gotten about four hours of sleep. 0

“Why were you up so late?” Yu Guoguo asked curiously. In her eyes, Sang Yu's life was monotonous—she had a harmonious family and no boyfriend. Every day was just a routine of school and home; there seemed to be no reason for her sleeplessness. Could it be...? 0

“Are you having a crush?” Yu Guoguo's voice rose a bit too loud, drawing the attention of other teachers. 0

“Yu Guoguo!” Sang Yu said through gritted teeth. 0

Realizing her volume was too high, Yu Guoguo quickly apologized. “I’m sorry! I didn’t mean to; I just got too excited.” 0

“So really, are you having a crush?” 0

“You’re the one with a crush!” Sang Yu retorted, though her tone lacked conviction because deep down, she knew it was indeed about a man that kept her awake. 0

“Teacher Sang, why do I feel like you’re acting a bit guilty right now?” Yu Guoguo leaned closer to Sang Yu. 0

“You’re the one who’s guilty! Besides, having a crush requires an object of affection! Who would I even have a crush on?” Sang Yu felt uneasy under Yu Guoguo's gaze. Remembering that they both entered this school in the same year and that Yu Guoguo didn’t know much about her past made Sang Yu straighten up slightly. 0

“Who knows if you had any romantic encounters over the weekend?” 0

“I spent these past two days at my parents’ house. I just stayed home; where would any romantic encounters come from?” 0

Seeing that Yu Guoguo seemed eager to continue probing, Sang Yu quickly interjected, “Alright now, don’t be so nosy at your young age! Class is about to start; shouldn’t you go check on your class?” Both of them were homeroom teachers for third grade and often busier than subject teachers. 0

As she sent Yu Guoguo off, Sang Yu sighed in relief. This girl was so cute yet so nosy! 0

Sang Yu also got up and headed to her classroom, intending to check on her little demons. The elementary school students were quite young and lacked independence, so the homeroom teacher needed to keep a close eye on them. 0
