Perhaps it was the rain that left his hair slightly damp, giving it a faint sheen. Below his high nose was a pair of thin lips, which made him appear both indifferent and passionate. He wore a suit that was impeccably formal, enveloped in an air of elegance. The jacket was casually unbuttoned, and the top two buttons of his shirt were undone, exuding a sense of wild abandon and nonchalance. 0

At that moment, Sang Yu turned her head upon hearing the commotion. What began as a casual glance turned into a moment of shock when she saw the man standing at the door. Her pupils constricted, and a sharp pain shot through her heart. It was him—Lu Jingzhi! After all these years, she recognized him at a glance. 0

Just days ago, she had heard news about him, and now he stood right in front of her. His sudden appearance left her feeling dazed. This man was undeniably handsome; he must be the collective admiration of all the teachers in this office. 0

A young female teacher stood up shyly and asked, “Excuse me, sir, who are you looking for?” 0

The man smiled, his lips curling slightly, causing all the female teachers in the office—whether married or single—to feel their hearts flutter. Then he spoke, his magnetic voice filling the room: “I’m looking for the homeroom teacher of Class Three, Year Two.” 0

The young teacher pressed her hand against her racing heart; she could hardly bear it. No, she thought; she was about to lose control. Her heart felt like it would leap out of her chest. This man was not only handsome but had such an enchanting voice! Oh my goodness! Mom, you no longer need to urge me to find a partner; she had a premonition that she was about to fall in love. 0

Lu Youzhe watched this scene with a smirk. His uncle was once again unleashing his irresistible charm. Look at how Teacher Zhang was captivated; she seemed almost spellbound. Even Teacher Sang appeared dazed. 0

“Sang Yu! They’re looking for you!” A reluctant young teacher named Zheng Yifan called out to Sang Yu. But Sang Yu was still in shock and didn’t hear Zheng Yifan’s words. 0

“Sang Yu! They’re looking for you!” Zheng Yifan glared at Sang Yu. Hmph! Usually so aloof and dismissive of everyone, now she couldn’t take her eyes off a handsome guy. Zheng Yifan knew that Sang Yu had been putting on an act all along. 0

Zheng Yifan had arrived a year earlier than Sang Yu and had disliked her from the first moment they met because Sang Yu was prettier than her. Unsurprisingly, since Sang Yu’s arrival, everyone praised her for her beauty and gentle demeanor; it seemed everyone’s attention was solely on her, especially the young male teachers who fawned over her daily. 0

Hmph! Sang Yu is nothing but a seductress! Zheng Yifan glanced at Lu Jingzhi and began to formulate a plan in her mind. 0

Sang Yu snapped back to reality at Zheng Yifan’s call. She hurriedly lowered her head and blinked, trying to clear the moisture from her eyes. She wasn’t narcissistic enough to think he had come here because of her. Realizing his surname was Lu, she instinctively glanced at Lu Youzhe, guessing that this man must be related to him—though she wasn’t sure how. 0

Father and son? That seemed unlikely; the child was already eight years old, and Lu Jingzhi would have still been in high school back then—their ages didn’t match up. 0

After taking a moment to compose herself, Sang Yu slowly turned around and stood up to face Lu Jingzhi. With a slightly stiff smile at the corners of her mouth, she said, “I’m Sang Yu, the homeroom teacher for Class Three, Year Two.” 0

She hesitated slightly when saying her name because she wasn’t sure if this man still remembered it. 0

Clearly, Lu Jingzhi did remember; upon hearing her name, he froze for just an instant—though no one noticed this fleeting moment. 0

Sang Yu? Did he study with Sang Yu in high school? No, it wasn't just studying; she should be considered his high school ex-girlfriend. 0

Lu Jingzhi raised his eyes slightly to look at the beautiful woman in front of him, seemingly trying to confirm if she was indeed the person he knew. However, aside from her eyes being somewhat similar, he couldn't find any other resemblance between them. 0

Could it be that she wasn't? He remembered Sang Yu being chubby back then, but the person before him was far too slender! Yet, he couldn't shake off the feeling that this woman was indeed someone he recognized. Perhaps it was simply a gut feeling, or maybe it was because they both had large, clear almond-shaped eyes that resembled each other. 0
