"Stop being so verbose! Don’t you know I’m busy?" Lu Jingzhi said, picking up his phone and opening WeChat. He saw a message from Jiang Han and clicked on it, only to find it filled with photos of Sang Yu, causing his words to trail off abruptly.
Jiang Han, hearing the silence from Lu Jingzhi's phone, couldn't help but feel smug. Hmph! He still thinks I'm being too chatty! He’s probably thanking me in his heart right now.
From Lu Ge's behavior last time, it was clear he had feelings for her.
Lu Jingzhi scrolled through the photos of Sang Yu, each one capturing her in various moods—some close-ups, some further away—but all radiating her happiness. One photo showed her sitting on a jet ski with a man, tightly wrapping her arms around his waist, their bodies pressed together without a sliver of space between them. A fire ignited in Lu Jingzhi's chest, growing hotter with each passing moment.
"Where did these photos come from?" Lu Jingzhi's voice was sharp, laced with an undercurrent of barely concealed anger.
Jiang Han, oblivious to the tension, proudly declared, "I saw them on Lin Yue's Moments. It looks like she and Sang Yu went on a trip to Qing Cheng."
Lu Jingzhi recalled the figure that resembled Sang Yu he had seen at the restaurant that morning—could it really have been her?
"Ask Lin Yue which hotel they’re staying at."
"Oh please, do I even need to? She tagged the location in her post; it looks like they're at Caesar Hotel."
Before Jiang Han could finish speaking, Lu Jingzhi abruptly hung up the call. Jiang Han stared at his phone in shock—was Lu Ge being too much? Hmph! He was definitely acting like a dog.
Sitting in his chair, Lu Jingzhi mulled over what Jiang Han had just said: Caesar Hotel! It seemed their connection ran deeper than he thought. The person he saw earlier must have been her.
Even though he knew Sang Yu was staying at the same hotel as him, Lu Jingzhi hadn’t made any effort to seek her out because he had been genuinely busy these past few days.
Meanwhile, Sang Yu and Lin Yue had been enjoying their time in Qing Cheng for several days. With plans to head to the beach soon, they decided not to visit any other places.
Each time Sang Yu went to the restaurant for a meal, she felt like a thief, afraid of running into Lu Jingzhi. Thankfully, she hadn’t seen him since that day. She let out a sigh of relief, thinking that after all this time, he must have left. Yet as she relaxed more and more, a hint of disappointment crept in.
"Sang Sang, I brought you a swimsuit! You have to wear this one I gave you today!" Lin Yue insisted playfully.
"I don’t want to; I brought my own! Yours is too revealing," Sang Yu protested. She wasn’t comfortable wearing something so sexy.
"Sang Sang, come on! Look at what everyone is wearing on the beach—aside from the little kids—what woman isn’t dressed sexy and pretty?" Lin Yue tried to persuade her. The two were so engrossed in their conversation that—
Bang! As soon as Sang Yu entered the restaurant, she bumped into someone hard. "Ouch!" she exclaimed involuntarily. This person’s body was so solid!
