Stepping out of the teaching building, a light drizzle began to fall, accompanied by a cool breeze that made Sang Yu shiver involuntarily. She wrapped her coat tighter around herself, relieved that she had chosen to wear a thicker outer layer that day. 0

Standing at the school gate, Sang Yu glanced left and right. With the rain falling, most parents picking up their children were driving, and the number of cars had increased significantly compared to usual. The traffic was quite heavy, and after some consideration, she decided to ride her electric scooter home. Putting on her raincoat, Sang Yu skillfully maneuvered through the congested area. 0

Although riding the scooter was a bit chilly, the speed was exhilarating! She couldn't hear the impatient honking of cars behind her. 0

Upon arriving at her apartment complex, Sang Yu parked her scooter in the garage and planned to stop by the clinic to pick up some medicine. She was feeling quite unwell and had a throbbing headache. 0

She really disliked taking medication; whenever she caught a cold, she would try to postpone it as long as possible and avoid taking any drugs if she could. However, this time the cold hit her hard, and she was struggling to cope. Not wanting to take a sick day tomorrow, she decided it was necessary to get some medicine. 0

As she entered the clinic, a wave of warmth enveloped her. The waiting area was filled with people receiving IV drips, and there was a long line forming at the door of the consultation room. Sang Yu was taken aback—were there really that many people with colds? 0

After standing in place for a moment, contemplating whether to join the queue, she noticed two more people had lined up behind her in just a few minutes. Realizing that if she hesitated any longer, even more people would join the line, she decided to face reality and stepped into the queue. 0

Fortunately, there were two doctors on duty. After nearly an hour of waiting, it was finally her turn. 0

Opening her mouth as instructed by the doctor, Sang Yu followed his prompts. 0

The doctor set down his small flashlight and noted that her tonsils were quite inflamed. "What other symptoms do you have?" he asked. 0

"Um, I feel dizzy and have a slight cough. My nose is stuffy," she replied. 0

"It seems you have a cold caused by wind chill," he said. "The temperature has dropped significantly recently; you need to dress warmly. Young ladies shouldn’t neglect their health for the sake of beauty." 0

He glanced at Sang Yu's outfit and nodded approvingly as if satisfied with what she was wearing today. 0

"Young girls these days care too much about appearance and don’t pay attention to staying warm. They'll regret it when they get older," he added with a shake of his head, expressing his discontent with current fashion trends among young women. 0

Sang Yu smiled awkwardly in response. 0

The doctor began writing out a prescription while Sang Yu peered over curiously but couldn’t make sense of any of it. 0

She often wondered why all doctors' handwriting looked like hieroglyphics; at least every doctor she had encountered wrote this way. Yet nurses could accurately dispense medication based on those prescriptions. Was it some sort of secret code? Sang Yu found herself puzzled. 0

"You'll need an injection along with your medication; it will help you recover faster," he said. 0

"An injection?" Sang Yu instinctively shrank back and covered her backside with her hands—oh no! Her bottom was in jeopardy! She had been afraid of needles since childhood; just thinking about that long needle piercing into her made her skin crawl. 0

"What's wrong? Are you afraid of injections?" The doctor felt an immediate fondness for Sang Yu's obedient demeanor; after all, this girl looked about the same age as his daughter. 0

Sang Yu nodded her little head, feeling that getting an injection was far more terrifying than receiving an IV drip. 0

"Don't be scared, it will be over in just a minute," the doctor reassured her with a smile. 0

"Besides, our nurses are very skilled at giving injections. Once you get this shot, you'll feel much better by tomorrow morning. Here, take this to the nurse," he said, tearing off the prescription and the injection order before handing them to Sang Yu. 0
