The two of them found their seats and sat down. Lu Jing glanced around and noticed that most of the audience watching the horror movie were young couples. Seeing the couples tightly embracing each other made Lu Jing a bit restless. He looked at Sang Yu, who was sitting calmly beside him, and a sense of foreboding washed over him again. 0

As the movie started, the theater fell silent, and Sang Yu was already fully engrossed in the film. Suddenly, a large ghostly face appeared on the screen, startling Lu Jing. The other girls screamed and dove into their boyfriends' warm embraces. Only Sang Yu remained unfazed, her eyes fixed on the screen as if she were completely unaffected. 0

Sensing movement beside her, Sang Yu turned to look at Lu Jing. "Are you scared?" she asked. 0

Feigning calmness, Lu Jing replied, "Why would I be? If you're not scared, why should I be? I'm a big guy." 0

"Oh," Sang Yu said, turning back to continue watching. The movie was actually quite well-made. 0

Lu Jing discreetly patted his heart, which was racing a bit too fast. That had really scared him! This girl seemed delicate and soft, yet she had such a strong nerve—she wasn't afraid at all. He gained a deeper understanding of her. 0

What a blunder! 0

"Sang Yu, aren't you scared?" Lu Jing leaned closer to her and whispered. 0

Sang Yu looked at him and said, "Not at all. It's all fake; what's there to be afraid of?" 0

Lu Jing chuckled awkwardly, "Right, it's all fake. In the end, I was the one who miscalculated!" 0

By the time they finished watching the movie and came out, it was nearly eleven o'clock at night. Sang Yu wore a satisfied smile; her wish to watch a horror movie in the theater had finally come true. 0

Lu Jing cast a resentful glance at Sang Yu. Why did reality differ so much from what he had imagined? 0

"What's wrong?" Sang Yu noticed that something seemed off with Lu Jing's mood. 0

"Nothing," Lu Jing shook his head. "It's getting late; I'll take you home." 0

Sang Yu thought that Lu Jing might have been frightened by the movie; after all, he was a big man and probably felt embarrassed to admit it. 0

If only Lu Jing knew what Sang Yu was thinking—he would want to bang his head against a wall for making such an assumption. 0

After dropping Sang Yu off at her neighborhood and watching her enter safely, Lu Jing finally drove home. 0

Once home, even though it was late, Sang Yu still took a shower to wash off the lingering smell of hot pot from their dinner. 0

After about ten minutes in the shower, Sang Yu thought that Lu Jing should be getting home around now. 0

"Are you home?" she texted. 0

"Just got to my doorstep. Are you still awake?" Lu Jing replied as he entered his fingerprint to unlock the door. He had indeed just arrived when Sang Yu's message came through. 0

After taking a shower, Lu Jing decided to go to bed. He recalled the last time he video chatted with Sang Yu, his hair still damp, and felt compelled to remind him, "Make sure to dry your hair." 0

Sang Yu fell silent upon reading the message. Was this really the Lu Jing he knew? He soon realized that the current Lu Jing was indeed quite different from the one he used to know, so he chose not to dwell on it any longer. 0

"Okay, you should rest early too. Bye-bye," Sang Yu replied. 0

"Good night," Lu Jing responded. 0

Sang Yu had expected to be restless that night, but surprisingly, he fell asleep shortly after lying down. It seemed he was indeed a bit tired. 0

Lu Jing sat in the rocking chair by the floor-to-ceiling window, gazing at the night view outside. It was already past ten o'clock, yet the streets were still bustling with lights. Overall, their time together had been quite pleasant. Lu Jing thought about how Sang Yu looked while eating and couldn't help but chuckle; he was definitely a little foodie. 0

"Home?" Sang Yu was engrossed in a drama when a WeChat notification popped up. Opening it, he saw it was from Lu Jing. 0

"Yes?" 0

Lu Jing replied instantly, "Make extra food when you cook tonight; I’ll come over for dinner." 0

Sang Yu thought to himself: Is he really this presumptuous? 0

"Oh," he typed back. 0

Upon seeing Sang Yu's response, Lu Jing couldn't help but imagine Sang Yu's reluctant expression and laughed softly to himself. 0
