The New Year's goods were all bought, so lunch was particularly lavish, not inferior to the New Year's Eve dinner. Everyone gathered around the table, making the atmosphere lively and cheerful. Lu Jingzhi replied: "Why aren't you playing Mahjong? Don't know how?"
Sang Yu responded: "I know a little, but I'm not good at it."
Lu Jingzhi reassured her: "It's okay, I'm very good at Mahjong. I'll teach you later."
Sang Yu asked: "Where are you now?"
Lu Jingzhi replied: "At the hotel for our company’s annual meeting. I won't be working tomorrow." He then sent her a video from the annual meeting, showing that everyone was having a great time.
Lu Jingzhi continued: "Baby, do you miss me? I miss you, kisses."
Sang Yu replied: "I do."
Lu Jingzhi said: "So good!"
Sang Xia noticed her sister's beaming expression and teased her: "Sis, who are you chatting with?"
Sang Yu jumped in surprise, almost dropping her phone. "Why did you sneak up on me like that? You scared me!"
Sang Xia pointed at herself with an incredulous look. "Sneak up? You're just too engrossed in your chat!"
She leaned in closer and asked, "Come on, are you in love?"
"Lower your voice!" Sang Yu glanced nervously at the adults nearby. Thankfully, they were all focused on their game and didn't pay attention to them.
"I'm not in love," Sang Yu denied.
"Really?" Sang Xia crossed her arms and narrowed her eyes at Sang Yu suspiciously.
"Of course it's true! Why would I lie to you?" Sang Yu said, unable to meet Sang Xia's sharp gaze. Her younger sister was too clever; she knew she couldn't outsmart her.
"Why can't I just believe it?" Sang Xia declared, expressing her disbelief.
