At ten in the morning, the doorbell rang. The four of them on the sofa exchanged glances; Sang Yu was about to get up to open the door when she was stopped by Sang. "Da Bao, sit down. Xia Xia, you open the door." 0

Reluctantly, Sang Yu sat back down. 0

As soon as the door opened, Sang Xia was startled to see a group of people outside. At the front stood a middle-aged couple, elegantly dressed and exuding grace. Behind them were three young men and women, all of whom also had striking appearances. Among them, one had a bruised face; it was clear that this was Lu Jingzhi, looking little better than he had last night, with his face still marked by bruises and one eye swollen shut. Sang Xia could hardly bear to look at him. 0

Following them were several men in black suits, carrying a number of gifts. Sang Xia couldn't help but gasp; those gifts looked quite valuable. 0

"Hello!" Lu Qi exclaimed upon seeing the beautiful young woman at the door. His eyes lit up. "You must be Sang Yu! You're really stunning." 0

"Uh, hello! Aunty, I'm Sang Xia; Sang Yu is my sister." This aunty was just too enthusiastic, but she liked it. 0

"Oh, so you're Sang Xia! You're really beautiful," Lu Qi said, not at all embarrassed for mistaking her identity. 0

"Aunty, Uncle, please come in!" Sang Xia invited Lu Qi and the others inside. 0

"I'm so sorry to disturb you!" Lu Qi said gently to Sang Xia. 0

"It's no trouble at all; please come in." Sang Xia thought Lu Jingzhi's demeanor was incredibly warm. Although he was middle-aged now, he still had an air of elegance about him. It was easy to see that he must have been a stunning beauty in his youth; she just couldn't understand how he ended up with such a troublesome son. 0

As the others passed by Sang Xia at the door, they all smiled and nodded at her in greeting. 0

Looking at the number of people coming in, Sang Yu muttered quietly, "Wow! It looks like the whole family is here." She quickly stood up to greet them. Although Sang also stood up, there wasn't a smile on his face; he just stood there without moving. Sang Yu felt a bit awkward standing behind him. 0

Once inside, Lu Jingzhi kept his gaze fixed on Sang Yu. Seeing her red and swollen eyes made his heart ache. He wanted to pull her into an embrace but hesitated when he noticed that Sang had no expression on his face. He could only feel anxious. 0

"Dear in-laws—oh no, I mean sister—wishing you a happy new year! I’m really sorry for bothering you during this festive time," Lu Qi stepped forward and tightly grasped Sang Yu's hand. Whether it was from nervousness or excitement, he fumbled over his words. 0

Sang Yu felt much like what Sang Xia had thought earlier: Lu Jingzhi's family was too enthusiastic, making her want to pull her hand away but unable to do so. She could only smile awkwardly. 0

Lu also reached out to shake hands with Sang but received no response as if she hadn’t seen him. He wasn’t offended; after all, his son had caused quite a mess today. They were here to apologize; it was already good enough that they weren’t being turned away at the door. 0

So Lu ignored Sang’s cold demeanor and took a step forward to grasp her hand hanging by her side. "Hello there, big brother! I should be older than you; would you mind if I call you that?" 0

Sang chuckled twice. "Does it matter if I mind? I've lived this long without dealing with businessmen; are their faces really this thick?" 0

"We're here today to trouble you; please forgive us," Lu continued cheerfully. 0

Sang merely chuckled again. "You know you're causing us trouble and still come over." 0
