"Hey! Who's this handsome guy?" Sang Yu swayed in front of Lu Jingzhi. "Handsome, are you looking for someone?"
"I'm looking for you."
"Me? No, no, I have someone already. You should look for her instead." Sang Yu pointed at Lin Yue. "Wait, where is she?" Following her own gesture, Sang Yu realized she couldn't find anyone. "Oh, where did she go? Find her."
Lu Jingzhi felt a bit relieved when he heard Sang Yu mention she had someone, but then he couldn't help but feel a headache coming on. Rubbing his aching temples, he supported Sang Yu and said, "Sang Yu, can you see who I am?"
Sang Yu struggled to open her eyes, trying to focus on the person in front of her. "Don't sway! You're making me dizzy."
Lu Jingzhi replied, "So it's all my fault then!"
Watching the two drunk women made Lu Jingzhi's head throb even more. He knew he couldn't handle both of them alone. He remembered Sang Yu mentioning that Lin Yue was dating a doctor with the surname Sheng and thought he should find some help.
He helped Sang Yu sit down and searched for Lin Yue's phone, taking her hand to unlock it with her fingerprint.
There was no contact for the doctor named Sheng, but he did find an old friend.
Lu Jingzhi decided to give it a try. "Hello?" A magnetic male voice came through the phone.
"Hello! Is this Sheng Yan'an?"
Hearing a man's voice made Sheng Yan'an sit up straight from his previously relaxed position. "Who are you?"
"I'm Lu Jingzhi, Sang Yu's boyfriend. Both Sang Yu and Lin Yue are drunk; you might need to come to the hot pot restaurant to pick up Lin Yue."
"Okay, I'm on my way. Please take care of her for now." Sheng Yan'an quickly put on his coat and hurried out the door.
When he arrived, both women were slumped over the table. "Hello, Sheng Yan'an."
"Hello, Lu Jingzhi."
"Thanks for coming."
"We're friends; it's no trouble." The two greeted each other politely.
"Lin Yue! Wake up! Lin Yue!" Sheng Yan'an slapped Lin Yue's face gently, trying to rouse her.
"Ugh, so noisy!" Lin Yue swatted Sheng Yan'an's face with a loud smack that echoed in the quiet room.
Sheng Yan'an's expression darkened slightly. Lu Jingzhi couldn't help but feel sorry for him; dealing with a girlfriend like Lin Yue must be quite a challenge. Thankfully, his own precious one was well-behaved.
Sheng Yan'an felt the veins on his forehead throb. He had never been slapped in the face before, and Lin Yue was the first to do it. Great, just great.
However, when he looked at the completely drunk person, he thought, why should he really hold a grudge against her? At that moment, Sheng Yan'an didn't want to admit that he had backed down in front of his girlfriend.
In the end, the two of them each supported a drunkard out of the hotpot restaurant. They had hoped to carry both drunks out, but there were too many diners outside, making it quite awkward to do so.
Would they have time to eat together again in the future?
Well, thank goodness for that!
"You're too polite; we're all friends," Lu Jingzhi said, feeling quite good about his rapport with Sheng Yan'an.
Given the relationship between Sang Yu and Lin Yue, they would undoubtedly run into each other again in the future.
