Sang Yu glanced at him, "Can't you say something else? Just give me the certificate."
"Why?" Although Sang Yu was puzzled, she still handed over the marriage certificate.
"I'll keep it at home; we have a safe, it's secure!"
Sang Yu replied, "Which thief would steal a marriage certificate? They must be a fool."
She looked at the new husband beside her, who was grinning like an idiot. The thief wasn't foolish; it was this person who was acting silly, yet she couldn't help but smile happily.
"Today we're having dinner at the old house. My mom called and said we should celebrate at our place," Lu Jingzhi said, regaining his composure after his silly grin.
"Sounds good! It's been a while since I've seen Auntie." Ever since their engagement, Lu Jingzhi had taken her to the Lu family home several times. She liked every member of the Lu family, so she was quite fond of visiting.
"Young Master, Young Mistress, you're here!" Wei Shu greeted them. "I heard from Madam that you two are getting your marriage certificate today."
"Yes," Lu Jingzhi replied.
Wei Butler watched the two leave, feeling extremely happy. Both young ladies of the Lu family were easy to get along with; it was a blessing for their servants.
"Sang Sang! You’re here! Where’s the marriage certificate? Let me see it!" Lu Mu exclaimed as she quickly got up from the sofa upon seeing Lu Jingzhi and Sang Yu enter.
"Here you go," Lu Jingzhi handed over the marriage certificate to Lu Mu.
"Wow, it looks great! The granddaughter born from this will surely be even more beautiful," Lu Mu said with a smile. She thought about it and couldn't help but laugh. Her biggest regret in life was not having a daughter.
When her eldest son got married, she had hoped for a daughter but ended up with a son instead. Now she just wished for a soft and sweet granddaughter.
Hearing Lu Mu's words made Sang Yu blush.
"Grandma! Grandma! I want to see too!" Lu Youzhe rushed over, eager to look at the marriage certificate.
"Here you go, but be careful not to damage it," Lu Mu warned with concern.
"Yes, I know."
"Wow, Auntie is so beautiful!"
Lu Jingzhi felt quite proud upon hearing that. "Of course! Just look at whose wife she is."
Lu Youzhe glanced at his childish uncle, thinking how his uncle's skin was getting thicker by the day.
"Alright, just a glance will do. Why does it seem endless?" Lu Jingzhi took the marriage certificate from Lu Youzhe's hands and tucked it into his pocket.
Lu Youzhe shot an annoyed glare at his uncle. Hmph! So stingy!
"Auntie, can I call you Auntie from now on?"
"Yes, but at school, you still have to call me Teacher Sang," Sang Yu said gently, pinching Lu Youzhe's cheek.
"Uh-huh, I know that. But I'm really pleased inside; my favorite teacher has become my Auntie. That's great! Finally, my uncle has done something right."
Lu Jingzhi thought to himself, This kid's getting restless again.
"Sang Sang, let's sit in the living room for a while. Your uncle and your brother-in-law will be back from work soon. They promised to come for dinner today."
"Okay, Auntie."
Sang Yu felt relaxed and happy around her aunt. She secretly hoped that the legendary mother-in-law and daughter-in-law battles would never happen between them.
