Princess Lei returned to the palace in a fit of rage after suffering great humiliation at the the Yue Family. She unleashed her fury on her group of foolish servants.
Initially, she had intended to beat them, but upon reflection, she realized that these servants were carefully selected by her. Despite their dull wits, they possessed exceptional looks and figures, and it would be a shame to damage them.
With a wave of her sleeve, she scolded them briefly before dismissing the group of "Embroidered Pillows."
Feeling grateful for the princess's kindness, the "Embroidered Pillows" gathered together to discuss their predicament late into the night. Eventually, they devised a new plan and presented it to Princess Lei with great enthusiasm.
Upon hearing their proposal, the princess's face lit up with joy. She rewarded each of the "pillows" with ten taels of gold and a set of luxurious clothing.
The group expressed their gratitude profusely, praising Princess Lei to the heavens.
The plan was as follows: Yue Xiao Neng Cao was already renowned as the most beautiful woman in Xi Hua, so it was only natural that she would attract the attention of flower thieves.
Thus, Princess Lei decided to find someone to impersonate a flower thief and ambush Yue Xiao Neng Cao. At the critical moment, she would swoop in to fend off the thief.

The young eunuch playing the role of the flower thief charged into Yue Xiao Neng Cao's room with an intimidating demeanor.
At that moment, Yue Xiao Neng Cao had just loosened her clothing in preparation for bed. Seeing an unwelcome intruder, she instinctively grabbed a soft sword nearby to defend herself. However, the performance was so unconvincing that Yue Xiao Neng Cao felt a wave of embarrassment wash over her. Standing aside, she was unsure whether to expose the charade or remain silent.
Just then, an unexpected turn of events occurred. Suddenly, several figures clad in black entered through the window with agile movements. One of them brandished a gleaming Sleeve Sword aimed directly at Yue Xiao Neng Cao's vital points.
Princess Lei initially thought that the newcomer was just another of her servants playing tricks on her. Without a second thought, she lunged forward, attempting to block the incoming sword strike.
However, as soon as the assailant made their move, Yue Xiao Neng Cao recognized that this person was highly skilled and genuinely intent on taking her life, clearly not an ally of Princess Lei.
In a hurry, he reached out and wrapped his arms around the slender waist of Princess Lei, spinning deftly to evade the attack. He then drew his soft sword, engaging in a fierce battle with the intruder.
"Who... who sent this person? Why is this happening for real? Xiao Yezi! Xiao Yezi..." Princess Lei exclaimed, being held tightly by Yue Xiao Neng Cao as they maneuvered around the room.
Being so close to such a beautiful figure should have been a delightful experience. Yet, with deadly sword energy whizzing past her face, she had no leisure to appreciate the softness and warmth of her companion. She screamed while calling out to the impersonator Xiao Yezi.
But there was no sign of Xiao Yezi nearby; that spineless servant had already fled at the first hint of danger.
Princess Lei was furious, but soon she found herself too exhausted to maintain her anger.
Before she knew it, four or five more figures in black had appeared in the room.
Yue Xiao Neng Cao was outnumbered and gradually began to feel overwhelmed. Eventually, something struck him, and his body started to tingle. Moments later, darkness enveloped him, and he lost consciousness.
The last image etched in Princess Lei's memory was of Yue Xiao Neng Cao's worried gaze.
He remained as strikingly handsome as ever, yet for some reason, she felt that his look was oddly familiar.
When had she ever been regarded with such concern and worry? It must have been a long time ago—ever since she had personally sent away that unfaithful man...
She had not been without love in her life.

It began to snow. She lay in the snow, unaware of where she was, her body numb from the cold, ultimately fainting into unconsciousness.
"Sister, sister... please wake up..."
In the darkness, someone gently shook her, a small hand warm and soft.
Instinctively, she grasped that little hand and slowly opened her eyes. What met her gaze was a face so dirty that its features were unrecognizable. Reflexively, she pulled away from that hand and said with disgust, "That's disgusting."
Yet the owner of those small hands looked at her with such concern and worry, completely devoid of fear or selfishness—pure and innocent.
It truly felt like a distant memory, so far away that it could only be seen in dreams like this...
