As soon as Ling Yu arrived at the location, he opened the system interface and checked his mission. It was quite simple: he needed to search an Abandoned Villa for a few items: a Butterfly Hairpin, an Old Pocket Watch, and a seemingly ancient letter.
He glanced around; the moonlight streamed through the broken windows, adding a touch of mystery to the place. Ling Yu took a deep breath of the cold air and stepped into the villa, illuminating the dim room with his phone as he searched for the items.
He moved quietly through the empty hall, pushing open door after door, not missing a single corner. Finally, in a dilapidated bedroom, he found the Butterfly Hairpin on a vanity table, and his heart filled with joy. Then his gaze shifted to an old wooden chest that was on the verge of falling apart. When he opened it, he discovered the Old Pocket Watch inside. Next to it was a yellowed envelope that caught his attention. Upon opening it, he found an ancient map that seemed to hold many secrets.
Ling Yu knew this mission was just the beginning; there were still many mysteries awaiting him. He placed the three items into his system backpack, feeling an itch of curiosity about what would happen next.
Suddenly, a notification from the system rang in his ears: "Host, you have collected all required items. Would you like to submit the mission?"
The system interface flickered with a ghostly blue light, and Ling Yu felt a surge of power within him.
Mission Reward: Appearance Power, along with a Girl Transformation Hairpin (a one-time consumable that grants the skill Charm; it can charm opponents with higher affection or lower intelligence than oneself. The duration of Charm is limited, and there is a cooldown period. The transformation can be canceled at any time). This Butterfly Hairpin seemed somewhat similar to the collected item, while the other two items—the pocket watch and letter—vanished.
The Butterfly Hairpin was one-time use only; it had no time limit for transformation and granted him a legal identity during its use, but would disappear once used up. Ling Yu felt hesitant upon hearing this.
"System, explain to me why it's a one-time transformation item?" Ling Yu asked in confusion.
"Host, please rest assured; it is absolutely useful. This system's products are guaranteed to be top quality, and there are many functions waiting for you to explore!" The system's slightly teasing tone left Ling Yu feeling helpless. Realizing it was getting late, he decided to head back.
Leaving the abandoned villa area behind, Ling Yu walked back lightly, repeatedly pondering over the mysterious functions of the system. Upon returning to his school dormitory, he greeted the Dormitory Aunt before quietly slipping back into his room and collapsing onto his bed for a deep sleep. It had indeed been an exhausting day for him; when he woke up in the morning, his roommate noticed he was still lost in dreams and chose not to disturb him since he had been under considerable stress lately.
The next morning, sunlight gently caressed Ling Yu's face through the curtain gaps as he stretched lazily and felt unusually energetic.
After freshening up, he headed to the cafeteria for lunch. There, he noticed Xing and Liu Ting dining together; both were engrossed in their conversation and seemed oblivious to their surroundings. Seeing them laughing together made Ling Yu's heart sink slightly; he resolved to find a way to expose Xing's true nature so that Liu Ting could see his true colors.
He quickly dashed out of the cafeteria and found an empty corner. Opening the interface again, he clicked on the Butterfly Hairpin. A prompt appeared asking if he wanted to use it—cautioning that using it would consume the item. Without hesitation, Ling Yu clicked to use it and transformed into a Beautiful Girl.
The system sent another prompt: "Please select Appearance and clothing for your Beautiful Girl." Ling Yu marveled at how powerful the system was; noticing another randomization button at the bottom, he pressed it. He made some adjustments to this task quickly until a beautiful girl with Black Long Hair appeared before him—dressed in a Black Shirt that exposed her midriff and Blue Denim Shorts.
Just then, someone passed by nearby.
"System, will I attract attention while transformed?"
"Host need not worry; this system is powerful. No passerby will notice your presence before or after transformation."
Feeling somewhat reassured, Ling Yu pressed confirm.
In less than a second, Ling Yu transformed into that beautiful girl. He opened his interface again and saw: Character: Ling Xue.

Skill points varied in consumption for each ability, and once she reached the current maximum value, further enhancements would require multiple points.
At that moment, she transformed into Ling Xue. Glancing at her appearance, she felt confident that this time she would expose Xing, the scoundrel, for who he truly was. As she entered the cafeteria, she knew that no man could resist admiring a beautiful woman. Indeed, Xing was discreetly watching her.
Ling Xue activated her skill, and the prompt confirmed success. She then took control of Xing, who quickly approached her.
"Can I have your WeChat? I've noticed you for a while; you're exactly my type."
"But don’t you have someone?" he replied.
"We're just friends," she said playfully.
"Hahaha, not interested," he retorted.
Time passed swiftly, and soon Xing broke free from the effects of Charm. Ling Xue realized she could no longer control him. Feeling triumphant, she watched as Liu Ting delivered a resounding slap to Xing's face before walking away without a backward glance.
Ling Xue observed as Xing stood there in confusion, clearly flustered.
"I did it! Hahaha! Liu Ting will definitely come around now."
