It was the first semester of the first year of high school, and there were still two weeks left until the final exams. 0

In the morning, after the second math class, Wu Yunyun wanted to take advantage of the break to run to the supermarket and buy some bread. She had rushed out that morning and hadn’t had time for breakfast. 0

After buying the bread, she hurriedly ran towards the teaching building, hoping to make it back before the bell rang. On her way, she collided with Gu Si Yi and his friends who were playing basketball. She didn’t manage to stop in time and bumped right into him. 0

In that moment, Gu Si Yi instinctively caught her, and they both fell to the ground. Hearing the teasing shouts from their classmates, Wu Yunyun’s face turned as red as a tomato. She quickly got up and helped Gu Si Yi to his feet, apologizing, “I’m sorry, young master. Did I hurt you?” 0

As soon as she spoke, the laughter from the group grew louder. Gu Si Yi looked at Wu Yunyun, who seemed on the verge of tears. He recognized her; she was the daughter of a servant in his household. Every time she saw him, she would lower her head as if he were some terrifying figure. This time was no different; she kept her head down, her hands behind her back, not daring to meet his gaze. 0

“No,” he replied softly, but before he could say anything more, she ran away. 0

Gu Si Yi’s friend He Luan threw an arm around his shoulder and teased him, “That girl is interesting! What do you think? Are you interested in having some fun?” 0

Lu Xiaoqi chimed in with a laugh, “Yeah! She looks so innocent; I almost wanted to comfort her when I saw her about to cry just now.” 0

“Exactly! Gu Si Yi, you’re in a prime position here. You’ve been single for a while now, and since Han Hanyue dumped you, it’s time to find someone else to take your mind off things,” Sun Xian added with disdain for Han Hanyue’s arrogance. “If it weren’t for her brother liking her, she wouldn’t think so highly of herself!” 0

Gu Si Yi watched Wu Yunyun’s retreating figure and thought to himself: why not? He snatched the basketball from Sun Xian’s hands and threw it on the ground before catching it again with ease. 0

“Let’s give it a try,” he said confidently. 0

The group cheered as they headed back to class. Sun Xian spotted Han Hanyue and shot her a provocative glare. 0

The next day, Wu Yunyun pulled out a bottle of fresh milk from her desk. She recognized the brand; it was one that Gu Si Yi often drank. As soon as she saw it, she panicked and quickly hid the bottle back in her desk. 0

She had no idea whose prank this was and anxiously waited until evening after school was over, but no one came looking for her. 0

Every day from then on, Wu Yunyun found a bottle of fresh milk in her desk. Since the milk had a shelf life of only one day, she would quietly pack it into her backpack after school and then throw it away in the trash bin. 0

A week passed like this, and one day on her way home from school, she was stopped by Gu Si Yi. He approached her directly and asked, "Did you drink the fresh milk I gave you?" 0

Wu Yunyun was taken aback. Under his intense gaze, she nodded slightly. 0

"I thought just giving you milk was too monotonous. Is there anything else you want to eat? I can buy it for you," Gu Si Yi said, leaning in closer. He was already about one hundred seventy centimeters tall, towering over Wu Yunyun by a head or more. 0

"Young Master, I don’t need anything," Wu Yunyun replied quickly, lowering her head and trying to walk away. 0

But after just a couple of steps, Gu Si Yi grabbed her arm. 0

Wu Yunyun felt even more nervous; she suppressed her racing heart and dared not look at him. 0

"Wu Yunyun, from now on, I’ll go home with you," Gu Si Yi declared. After saying this, he walked beside her and noticed that her face had turned exceptionally red. 0

Perhaps it was out of anger, he thought. 0
