Gu Si Yi equipped himself and said to Wu Yunyun, "Watch how I do it, just follow my lead." 0

"Okay," she replied. 0

Following his instructions, Wu Yunyun armed herself thoroughly. However, when her feet landed on the skis, she felt a wave of panic; she thought she couldn't handle it at all. 0

Gu Si Yi was ready first and waited for her. Once Wu Yunyun finished preparing, Gu Si Yi taught her some basic movements. She listened attentively and demonstrated what he had shown her. 0

When they finally hit the snow, Wu Yunyun found it incredibly slippery. She struggled to maintain her balance and nearly fell over. 0

Gu Si Yi quickly steadied her. "Now, remember what I just taught you. Stand with your feet shoulder-width apart, lean slightly forward, and keep your eyes straight ahead. When you glide, maintain that basic stance with your arms in front and your upper body leaning forward. The tip of your ski pole should be in front of your toes." 0

Under Gu Si Yi's patient guidance, Wu Yunyun began to move forward at a snail's pace. She was thrilled and smiled at Gu Si Yi, saying, "Look, Young Master! I can ski now!" 0

"You're doing great!" he encouraged. 0

Meanwhile, a few others had finished their run and were gliding over to them. Tian Mei glanced at Wu Yunyun and skated up beside her. "Let me teach you," she offered. 0

But Gu Si Yi interjected immediately, "No need; I'll just watch her." 0

Tian Mei shrugged and skated away. 0

With Gu Si Yi by her side, Wu Yunyun completed the beginner slope and grew bolder as they progressed. Gradually, her speed picked up. 0

Gu Si Yi observed her with a sense of pride. After nearly an hour of playing together, Wu Yunyun felt a bit tired and told him she needed to rest for a while. 0

He instructed her to wait at the rental shop while he went to the advanced slope. As Wu Yunyun exited the snow area, she saw him heading toward the more challenging course. 0

She returned the rented equipment to the owner and stood in place, stamping her feet as she waited for Gu Si Yi. Before long, Tian Mei approached. 0

She looked Wu Yunyun up and down and couldn't help but feel that she looked terribly out of place. Unable to contain her disdain, she asked Wu Yunyun, "How did you end up with Gu Si Yi?" 0

Wu Yunyun frowned; the tone of the woman before her made her uncomfortable. 0

"This really has nothing to do with you," she retorted. 0

Ha, she was just an ugly duckling, thinking of herself as a swan. Do you really believe he won't dump you soon? 0

Wu Yunyun clenched her fists tightly, her eyes burning red as she glared at her. "So what? What exactly is your purpose? What I do with him has nothing to do with you!" 0

Tian Mei hadn't expected that her few words could provoke such a reaction. She softened her tone and replied, "I just can't stand it. He has such a beautiful girlfriend like Han Hanyue and yet he chooses someone like you." 0

"Oh, I thought you liked him too. But aren't you Lu Shaoye's girlfriend? Why are you so concerned about someone else's boyfriend? Don't you have any shame?" 0

Tian Mei, caught off guard, took two steps back. "What nonsense are you talking about? I'm just standing up for my friend." 0

Seeing the guilt in Tian Mei's eyes, Wu Yunyun shot her a piercing look. "You know exactly what you're up to." 0

With that, she turned away and walked off, almost breaking down in front of that person just moments ago. 0

How pathetic she thought to herself. 0

Since childhood, she had never been good at arguing. Her father was a controlling man; whenever they had a disagreement, he always spoke down to her as if he were superior. To maintain harmony, she gradually developed a personality of endurance and restraint. 0

Later, when her parents divorced and her father started a new family with another woman, she lived in constant fear that her mother would abandon her, making each day a struggle filled with anxiety. 0

Knowing that no one would stand up for her, she learned not to provoke others easily. It was enough for her to grow up without trouble, she thought. 0

Yet, when faced with situations like the one earlier, she couldn't help but feel wronged. A wave of bitterness surged within her heart. 0
