Wu Yunyun and Kong Run entered the tent, where Kong Run thoughtfully opened a bag of snacks and offered it to her.
"Want to try? These are Lays Cucumber Flavor Chips. They taste pretty good."
"Thank you." Wu Yunyun took a chip and chewed on it. "I like this flavor of chips too."
Kong Run placed the chips in front of her, noticing her nervousness. He took out his guitar and asked, "Do you want to hear a song?"
"Anything is fine." Wu Yunyun wiped her hands and hugged her legs, settling into a listening posture.
Kong Run sang an English song. Although Wu Yunyun didn’t understand the lyrics, his clear and soothing voice inexplicably calmed her down.
After finishing the song, Kong Run said, "This is my favorite song. I dedicate it to this beautiful lady beside me. I hope you like it."
Wu Yunyun chuckled at his words. Looking at him sincerely, she replied, "Thank you, kind sir. You sing well; I really enjoy listening."
As she spoke, she gazed into his eyes. He had a pair of deep, affectionate eyes that made one feel drawn in.
Wu Yunyun held his gaze for a while before looking away. She picked up a bottle of drink from the side, opened it, and took a sip.
Yet, no matter how affectionate he seemed, there was still something missing.
A Yang watched from the side, feeling impatient with their slow progress. A message popped up on her phone from Zhou Liao Fa.
He asked her to take a picture of Wu Yunyun on a date with someone and send it to him.
A Yang casually snapped a photo on-site and sent it to Zhou Liao Fa.
After receiving it, Zhou Liao enlarged the picture. In the frame, Wu Yunyun was smiling with her head down while the guy looked at her with a beaming face.
Zhou Liao remarked to A Yang, "This is the effect I wanted!"
In an instant, he forwarded the photo to Gu Si Yi.
Moments later, Gu Si Yi called: "What’s going on here?"
"I saw this on a program online; Xiao Yun Yun seems to have gone to participate in Lian Zong."
Hearing this, Gu Si Yi abruptly stood up from his chair, drawing the attention of everyone in the office.
He walked straight out of the office and into the stairwell to question Zhou Liao. "Don’t tell me you just found out!"
"I didn’t just find out; you know too. Xiao Yun Yun is good friends with Xiao Chan. That day they had a gathering, and I happened to have an invitation for Lian Zong. I was originally going to tell Xiao Chan about it when Xiao Yun Yun asked me if she could go."
Gu Si Yi listened intently, gripping his phone tightly as his knuckles turned white.
"Why are you only telling me this now?"
"I just remembered you," Zhou Liao replied, feigning innocence. "It's been ages since we last mentioned her. Come on, Teacher Gu, you’re not still thinking about her, are you?"
Gu Si Yi took a deep breath. "You need to find a way to stop her."
Over the years, he had inquired about her situation more than once and felt a flicker of relief upon learning she wasn't in a relationship.
However, he never imagined she would go directly to Lian Zong. Now, whether Zhou Liao was speaking the truth or not didn't matter; all he knew was that she had indeed gone to Lian Zong and was dating another man.
And she looked so beautiful.
She was so wonderful—what if someone else got to her first?
Just thinking about it drove him nearly mad.
