Gu Si Yi was still sitting on the bench when he suddenly saw Wu Yunyun with her head down, darting away like a gust of wind towards another direction. He quickly stood up and chased after her.
He found her stopped in a dark corner, crouching down and hugging herself, looking quite pitiful. Gu Si Yi glanced around and noticed a camera pointed in her direction. He approached the cameraman and asked him not to record this, but the man dismissed him, saying he was just doing his job. Gu Si Yi let it go.
Returning to Wu Yunyun's side, he heard her let out a soft sigh. Clearing his throat, he tried to get her attention. Startled, she stood up and, upon recognizing him, shouted, "Can’t you walk without making a sound?"
Gu Si Yi stared at her reddened eyes and asked, "What happened?"
"None of your business," Wu Yunyun replied, clearly unwilling to engage with him. As she tried to walk past him, he grabbed her wrist. "What’s really going on?"
She glared at him and snapped back, "Do you think telling you will help? If I say I don’t want to record anymore, can you do anything about it?"
"I can," Gu Si Yi said firmly, "but I need a reason."
Wu Yunyun faced him defiantly for a while. She didn’t know how to explain; even if she did, it would make her seem weak. Besides, if she quit just because she was upset, what would happen to the filming that had been going on for days?
"It’s nothing," she replied, though her tone was much weaker than before.
"Wu Yunyun, are you trying to drive me crazy?" Gu Si Yi snapped when she remained silent for too long. "Do you want me to guess? Is it Mi Zhong or that Kong Run? Did you come here because they rejected you?"
"That’s not it at all!" Wu Yunyun blurted out in frustration, revealing what had happened in the dormitory before realizing she had fallen into his trap.
She glared at him again but fell silent.
Did he think she was so foolish that she couldn’t handle something so simple?
After hearing her out, Gu Si Yi's expression darkened. "I’ll talk to the production team. We’ll head back to Teikyo tomorrow."
"Maybe we shouldn’t," she countered. "That would be irresponsible. You’ve only just arrived; it wouldn’t be right for me to quit now."
"Wu Yunyun, I think you’ve lost your mind from studying too much! You’re being bullied and still want to endure it? I’ve never seen anyone as foolish as you!"
Why did her foolishness concern him? Why was he resorting to personal attacks?
"I am not stupid!" Wu Yunyun retorted loudly, though she was unsure how to confront this contradiction. Ever since she was very young, she had lost the ability to handle such situations.
Gu Si Yi looked at her, and at that moment, she was genuinely angry. Her small chest heaved noticeably, and her face flushed a rosy hue, quite different from her usual smile that always seemed so composed.
He gazed at her for a few moments, trying to control himself, but ultimately failed. He reached out and tousled her hair. "Alright, you’re not stupid. Just don’t be angry."
Wu Yunyun stared at him, disbelief filling her eyes. Was Gu Si Yi just trying to comfort her? When did their relationship become so close?
She wanted to run away, but Gu Si Yi pulled her back again. "You’re staying in my room tonight."
"No refusal!" Seeing Wu Yunyun about to protest, Gu Si Yi pinched her lips playfully and coaxed, "It's a single room."
