The object was light and agile, moving swiftly through the air. 0

Yan Qing focused and realized it was a leaf! 0

The thin leaves danced gracefully, buoyed by the slightest breeze, each one seemingly alive, becoming an independent entity. They curled together and formed a neat line, swirling around people's heads, darting past with surprising agility, striking with deadly precision. 0

The edges of the leaves were serrated, sharper than thin blades. A gentle swipe across a person's neck would cause blood to spurt forth like a gushing spring. As the blood splattered onto the leaves, they quickly absorbed it into their veins, visibly widening and extending as they grew nourished and strong. The jagged tips of the leaves glinted menacingly like hooks. 0

Before the pain could register, blood poured out in torrents. By the time one realized what had happened, their throat had already been slashed, and they collapsed to the ground. 0

Yan Qing glanced around but felt no wind; there was no breeze at all. What was keeping these leaves suspended in mid-air? 0

At that moment, Tan Ming approached, passing by Yan Qing without a glance. 0

"Tan Ming!" Yan Qing called out. 0

Tan Ming did not turn back. 0

"Senior!" Zhang Liu exclaimed as he spotted him and was about to move closer. Suddenly, several leaves swirled around Tan Ming's head and lunged toward his face. 0

Tan Ming swiftly grabbed a nearby chair and swung it forcefully, sending the leaves flying away. The chair narrowly missed Zhang Liu's face by less than two centimeters, creating a tense moment. 0

Zhang Liu shot a grateful glance at Tan Ming. 0

"How did these leaves get in here?" Zhang Liu asked, confusion etched on his face. 0

The entire restaurant was thrown into chaos; screams echoed as people scrambled for safety. Some fortunate ones managed to hide under tables, covering their heads with their hands and curling up tightly to shield themselves. Others weren’t so lucky; they were ensnared by the leaves and suffered deep cuts across their bodies. 0

"Damn it!" Zhang Yan cursed as he forcefully swatted a leaf off his left arm before crushing it underfoot. He pressed tightly against his arm, his expression twisting in pain. 0

"Zhang Yan!" Xu Le exclaimed with concern in his eyes. 0

He watched as a trivial cut appeared on Zhang Yan's left arm, blood seeping out in an instant. He frowned slightly. 0

Tan Ming quickly scanned the area and realized that the leaves had come in through the crack in the door. He hurriedly took off his coat, tore it into strips, and wrapped one around his neck before moving to block the gap in the door. 0

The others observed his actions, and after a moment of hesitation, they were reluctant to follow him into danger. Meanwhile, Tan Ming ran over with the torn fabric in hand. 0

As he reached the door, the swirling leaves seemed to sense something and all came to a halt. Within seconds, they shot towards Tan Ming like arrows. Shadows of green streaked past him. 0

Tan Ming could hear the sound of his back being slashed, and his expression changed. He took a deep breath, enduring the pain as he stuffed all the fabric into the crack of the door. 0

Suddenly, a leaf squeezed through the gap and swiftly sliced towards his right wrist. 0

Yan Qing shouted out a warning, "Tan Ming!" 0

Tan Ming felt a chill near his hand and instinctively sidestepped to avoid it, but the leaf still grazed his palm, leaving a bloody mark. Blood oozed out and dripped onto the ground. 0

For just a moment, Tan Ming was stunned, but he quickly resumed his frantic efforts. The leaves that surrounded him became increasingly bold, changing direction to attack him relentlessly. 0

After blocking the gap in the door, he was drenched in blood, a gruesome sight. His thin white shirt was stained red in large patches. Due to excessive blood loss, he began to feel weak. 0

Seeing this, Yan Qing's expression turned worried. He noticed Xiao Wang Yi holding a book and rushed over to her side, saying urgently, "Can I borrow your book?" 0

Before Xiao Wang Yi could respond, Yan Qing snatched the book from her arms. With it in hand, he dashed back like the wind, slapping down the leaves that swirled around Tan Ming and pinning them to the ground. 0

Xu Le and others quickly reacted as well and rushed over to help. The leaves felt light as they touched the ground, almost weightless; however, if someone relaxed their grip even slightly, they would rise again and launch another attack on them. 0

They stood frozen, afraid to move even an inch, as the situation turned increasingly dire. It wasn't until Li Jianping burst out of the kitchen with a few others, wielding cleavers, that they finally shattered the leaves on the ground into pieces, ensuring they were completely eradicated. 0

After eliminating all the leaves, Yan Qing's arms felt so exhausted he could barely lift them. He noticed Tan Ming propping himself up with one hand on the ground, reaching out for him. However, as soon as Yan Qing grasped Tan Ming's hand, he suddenly lost strength and nearly collapsed onto him. Fortunately, Yan Qing managed to support him just in time. 0

When Zhang Liu arrived to help lift Tan Ming, Yan Qing finally saw that his hands were covered in blood—Tan Ming's blood. It dawned on him that Tan Ming's palms and back were already soaked through with it. Tan Ming's condition was worse than he had imagined! 0

"Xiao Wang Yi!" Yan Qing shouted anxiously. 0

Xiao Wang Yi was pushed out from the crowd, looking bewildered and helpless as he innocently exclaimed, "I'm an ophthalmologist, not a surgeon!" 0
