There were thirty people in total. Thirteen departments were hiring, and the number of hires for each department was clearly stated. The Ophthalmology Department hired two people, one of whom was named Wang Zhiqiang.
"What is Dr. Wang's full name?" Tan Ming asked.
Yan Qing thought for a moment and realized he didn’t actually know. "I don’t know either," he replied.
Tan Ming walked over to the bookshelf, scanning the area for the personnel files of the ophthalmology staff. The file bag had names written on it, but unfortunately, after looking through it several times, he couldn’t find Wang Zhiqiang’s personnel file.
"Is it possible that it hasn’t been transferred yet?" Yan Qing asked.
"Dr. Wang just started; it might take a few days for his personnel file to be transferred," Tan Ming explained.
"That could be it."
At that moment, Tan Ming received a call from Shen Jianghuan.
"There’s been an incident," Shen Jianghuan said in a low voice.
The two rushed back to Fountain Square. In the square, dozens of people lay dead, and Zhang Yan's body was clearly visible among them, arranged neatly on the ground.
The others sat quietly to one side, not speaking a word. The messengers stood nearby, their expressions heavy as they looked at the deceased.
Ke Jianping sat alone at a distance from everyone else, his face grim and brows furrowed deeply. Xu Le glared at him with a furious expression, his eyes red with anger.
They had just had a fierce argument, with Xu Le adamantly accusing him of poisoning everyone. Xu Le even suspected that Ke Jianping had started the fire in the restaurant.
In the center of the scene, a pot of fish soup continued to simmer over an active flame, surrounded by bowls scattered across the ground, each containing thick remnants of fish soup.
Shen Jianghuan briefly informed Tan Ming over the phone that everyone who drank Ke Jianping’s fish soup had been poisoned. The symptoms appeared within a minute, leaving no time for rescue before they succumbed to the poison. The poisoning reaction occurred just as they were finishing their soup.

"Senior, this is my oversight," Zhang Liu said, filled with self-reproach.
He knew that the killer might be right beside them, taking advantage of the situation to poison them.
"Don't say that; we all share the responsibility," Shen Jianghuan replied, his expression grim.
"It's easy for you to say it's our responsibility. You all bear the aura of messengers; why haven't you exposed the killer? If you had done so, so many lives wouldn't have been lost!" someone exclaimed angrily.
The speaker stood next to Xu Le, his eyes bloodshot.
They felt indignant on behalf of Zhang Yan.
They had caught fish together with Zhang Yan, and now they were alive while he was dead!
"It's pitiful that Zhang Yan's wounds haven't even healed properly!"
With this remark, dissatisfaction towards the Messengers began to brew among the crowd.
"Yeah, didn't you say you would start voting after evolution was halted? Why hasn't that happened yet?"
Emotions ran high as more and more people expressed their discontent.
Of course, they didn't want to vote; the killer was among their messengers!
The crowd was furious.
"In my opinion, we should vote out all the messengers; then the system would end, and we wouldn't have to live in fear anymore." More and more people began to think this way.
"Exactly! If someone has to die anyway, why is it always us ordinary people?"
As the crowd's emotions escalated, they increasingly felt that the messengers deserved punishment.
The Messengers were almost being torn apart by the gazes of the crowd, especially Yan Qing.
"You know who the killer is; you're just biased!"
"Enough!" Tan Ming's voice cut through the chaos sharply.
