"Shut up, knowing too much is not good for you!" 0

"Oh!" 0

"Ma'am, I'm sorry for the delay. Please go ahead and choose a number!" 0

"No trouble at all!" Yan Kongyue sighed in relief. 0

As they exited the business hall, it was nearing noon, the time when the sun was at its peak. However, He Bin was hiding in Yan Kongyue's backpack; aside from the blinding light, there wasn't much else to see. 0

"Let's go find my cousin!" 0

They took the subway. He Bin felt a mix of emotions; he was about to meet his cousin and felt both excited and anxious. 0

"Why do your parents oppose your marriage to your cousin?" 0

"Actually, she's a distant relative. She's my mom's cousin's niece. We met at my cousin's wedding, but my mom has a fiery temper and doesn't like her personality. She calls her a 'white lotus' and even gave her a nickname—Xiao Qing Cha. My mom thinks her temper is bad and that marrying into our family would only bring her trouble. She believes it would be better for her to marry someone else, maybe even earn more bride price." 0

"Uh, just for that?" 0

"Yeah, it's been over a year of this argument, and neither side is willing to compromise. Whenever my cousin sees me, she cries. I really don’t know what to do anymore." 0

"Pfft, Manhood! Why worry about not having a wife? Do you really think she's the only one for you?" 0

"You don't know how much she loves me!" He Bin's nose felt sour. 0

"So it's because she loves you that you're willing to sacrifice everything? Before He Bin could respond, Yan Kongyue continued, "Did your brain get eaten by a dog? Love is precious, but life is even more valuable. Do you know how many people want to live but don't get the chance? And here you are..." 0

He Bin regretted it too, but it was too late; everything was beyond saving! 0

As they entered the subway station, a cool breeze hit them. Under the sunlight, Yan Kongyue felt fine, but inside the subway station was different. As they descended the escalator, various negative energies swirled around them. In Yan Kongyue's eyes, emotions transformed into mist—positive and negative energies—each with its own color: black, gray, blue, red, and pink. 0

Stepping into the subway car, Yan Kongyue frowned slightly; the entire car was filled with negative emotions—sadness, irritability, depression—it felt stifling. 0

Only a young couple radiated a thick pink mist as they held hands and chatted animatedly. However, influenced by the surrounding colors of mist, their pink began to fade as it seemed they were about to argue. Yan Kongyue walked over and stood not far from them; soon enough, the couple resumed their laughter. 0

Before they knew it, they had arrived at their destination. Yan Kongyue noticed the mist in the car had lightened; she waved her hand slightly as a faint golden light fell down unnoticed by others. Yet everyone felt lighter and their moods improved. 0

Underneath a tall building, Yan Kongyue leaned against the wall in the shadows with one foot propped against it. Her oversized hoodie concealed her face while she held onto her sunglasses with her mouth—these sunglasses had been snatched from Difu years ago. 0

"What time is it now?" He Bin asked nervously; he could no longer feel his heartbeat as his half-transparent eyes scanned the passing crowd. 0

Yan Kongyue glanced at her phone: "It's almost time!" 0

Soon after, several girls approached chatting and laughing. 0
