Mother waved her hand, urging the waiter to hurry with the dishes, and called over the Dining Manager. “Make sure all the dishes are served in the small room. If any of them end up on the big table, you can expect to lose your job.” 0

The manager nodded repeatedly and left the private room with the menu in hand. 0

My dad was managing things in the private room while my sister and I indulged ourselves in the small room. 0

An hour later, both my sister and I were full. 0

However, Mother didn’t let us leave and insisted we stay in the small room. 0

Aunt, feeling starved, couldn’t resist stepping out to see why the food was taking so long. 0

As soon as she stepped outside, she saw my sister and me leaning back in our chairs, patting our round bellies and burping. 0

She instantly perked up. “Wang Shuqin! How could you let these two little girls eat first? Are you disregarding us old folks?” 0

Mother leisurely took a sip of tea, smiling as she stood up to support Aunt. “Sister-in-law, look how long those cold dishes have been sitting on the table. If we don’t eat soon, they’ll go bad.” 0

“I’m just concerned for the kids. Letting them taste first is a good idea; if it’s not good, we can change it right away.” 0

“Don’t worry, the rest of the dishes will be out soon.” 0

Aunt was so exasperated that she leaned back dramatically. “Wang Shuqin! At my age, I’ve never seen a younger generation daring to taste food on behalf of their elders!” 0

Mother continued to smile sweetly. “Sister-in-law, please don’t be angry. You wouldn’t believe how precious the dishes are at this hotel.” 0

“This table of food costs quite a bit!” 0

Aunt slammed the door behind her and returned to the private room, visibly upset. 0

Chen Zhiwen, his face flushed from drinking, leaned back in his chair and looked at Aunt. 0

"Why did you come back, Sister-in-law? Was the food not to your liking?" 0

Aunt slammed her chopsticks on the table. "Zhiwen, it's not that I'm criticizing you. You said you rarely come back, and we should enjoy a Reunion Dinner together." 0

"Look at your wife bringing along those two girls, eating and drinking without a care in the world. It's like they don't even know who they're putting on a show for." 0

Chen Zhiwen chuckled innocently. "Sister-in-law, do you still want to eat?" 0

Aunt paused for a moment and instinctively shook her head. 0

Chen Zhiwen continued, "Then how about we call it a day? Shu Qin and the others are being inconsiderate; we shouldn't let that ruin everyone's appetite." 0

Elder Brother chimed in, "Uncle is right; Mother is just being petty. We rarely get to gather like this; we should still enjoy the Reunion Dinner." 0

"Besides, the food here isn't cheap." 0

Chen Zhiwen waved his hand decisively. "Alright, we'll go with Elder Brother's suggestion. I'll have Shu Qin take the two girls outside so they don't spoil the mood for everyone." 0

"Let's have a good time with us men!" 0

"Waiter! Please add two more hearty dishes to this table!" 0

Aunt's expression changed, and she instinctively glanced at Uncle. 0

Uncle's face darkened as he slammed his hand on the table. " Zhiwen! What do you mean by this?" 0

Chen Zhiwen's eyes were red, and he stood up abruptly. "Brother! I already said it! Reunion Dinner! Togetherness!" 0

"Do you have to make things difficult for me?" 0

He suddenly grabbed a bottle of wine, raising it as if to smash it. 0

Mother screamed and rushed over to hold him. " Zhiwen! Don't be impulsive!" 0

Uncle shrank back in his chair, frightened. 0

Elder Brother quickly grabbed Chen Zhiwen's hand. "Uncle, please don't get angry." 0

Chen Zhiwen shook him off forcefully and pulled Mother towards the door. "Let's go!" 0

My sister and I hurriedly followed. 0

Once outside, his drunkenness vanished in an instant. 0

Mother opened the car door and frowned. "Did you settle the bill?" 0

Chen Zhiwen nodded. "I did, but only for our table." 0
