"Why are you helping me?" Class Flower's voice grew deeper, tinged with confusion and uncertainty.
Mu Yunze shrugged and replied nonchalantly, "It's just what you do when you see injustice. Besides, I can't stand Zhang Xiaowei's smugness."
Class Flower stared at him intently, her gaze complex as if trying to see through his heart. "Is that really all there is to it?"
Mu Yunze felt a bit uncomfortable, his eyes drifting away. "What else could it be?"
Class Flower sighed softly and didn't press further. The two walked in silence for a while, the atmosphere subtly ambiguous.
Actually, Class Flower suddenly opened her mouth but hesitated again.
"What is it?"
"Nothing." She shook her head and quickened her pace.
Mu Yunze watched her retreating figure, a sense of unease creeping into his heart.
Time flew by. The once youthful innocence and confusion gradually faded away, replaced by familiarity and confidence. He was no longer that timid boy; after experiencing Class Flower's romantic games and a series of campus events, he had matured and gained clarity on many things.
Time slipped away like fine sand through fingers, quietly passing by. After going through various trials, Mu Yunze gradually became more composed. His good friend Li Haoyu also entered a new phase in his life marked by romantic experiences.
This budding romance was largely thanks to Mu Yunze's clever assistance. It all began when Li Haoyu fell head over heels for Wu Yuwei, a roommate of Chu Mohan, and thus began his long pursuit of her heart.
Wu Yuwei was a lively girl full of energy, much like a sunflower, naturally attracting many admirers. Despite Li Haoyu's best efforts, he had yet to win her affection. Seeing his friend grow increasingly haggard and troubled, Mu Yunze couldn't bear it any longer and decided to lend a helping hand.
One day, Li Haoyu approached Mu Yunze with his head hung low, his face clearly displaying a plea for help. "Old Mu, I've been chasing Wu Yuwei for months now with no progress at all. Do you have any good ideas?"
Mu Yunze patted Li Haoyu's shoulder with an air of mystery. "Don't worry, brother; I'm an expert when it comes to matters of love. To win a girl's heart, you need to know what she likes. Do you know what Wu Yuwei is into?"
Li Haoyu scratched his head in thought. "She seems to like gossip?"
"Gossip?" Mu Yunze raised an eyebrow in confusion. "How does that help you?"
"She enjoys collecting various rumors and spreading them around," Li Haoyu explained.
Mu Yunze's eyes lit up with an idea. "Then here's what you do: find some exclusive news to share with her—let her spread it around. Before you know it, you'll be on familiar terms!"
Li Haoyu's eyes brightened as if he saw hope. "Great idea! But where can I find exclusive news?"
With a mischievous grin, Mu Yunze replied, "That's easy! There are so many rumors floating around school; just make one up!"
Li Haoyu hesitated, "Isn't this a bit inappropriate?"
