Han Baiying decided to wait before asking about the situation. With so many people watching, she quickly said, "It's nothing, it's nothing. Everyone, please disperse. I've invited a band; let's all go to the dance floor and enjoy ourselves."
As the crowd dispersed, the lively atmosphere returned to the venue. However, many were curious about Jiang Chen's background. After all, it was unusual for both Lin Rumei and Liu Toukang to treat him with such respect.
Originally, the stars of the evening were Liu Jiyue and Li Xiyun, but now, without doing anything at all, Jiang Chen had unknowingly become the center of attention.

Li Xiyun accompanied Liu Jiyue in hosting the guests. On what should have been a joyous occasion, she felt no happiness at all; her smile was bitter and forced.
An hour later, as the engagement banquet neared its end, guests began to leave in droves. As a guest invited by Lin Rumei, Jiang Chen naturally left with her.
"Steward, please arrange for cars to take Xiyun's friends and family back to the hotel," Han Baiying instructed.
"Auntie, I should head back as well," Li Xiyun said.
"Alright, you go ahead. Jiyue, you stay," Han Baiying replied.
After Li Xiyun and her companions left for the hotel, only the Liu Family remained in the Liu Family Villa. Han Baiying called her two sons into the room to ask Liu Toukang what had happened earlier that made him treat Jiang Chen with such deference.
Liu Toukang then recounted in detail what had happened last year with the Golden Triangle. Both Han Baiying and Liu Jiyue were taken aback by his story.
"I see! No wonder it has been so easy to deal with the Golden Triangle this year; it's because Jiang Chen, that martial arts expert, eliminated Kunshan Group and scared off some major competitors. But if he says he won't have any contact with the Golden Triangle, then how would he know if we did?" Han Baiying mused.
"Exactly, brother. Even if he knows we continue our dealings with the Golden Triangle, what can he do? Are we really afraid of him? If he knows what's good for him, he should just take some money and leave us alone. If he demands too much, we can simply ignore him," Liu Jiyue said nonchalantly.
"Mom, Jiyue, you haven't seen Mr. Jiang in action; his strength is truly terrifying. Otherwise, why would the Lin family dare not contact the Golden Triangle anymore? Today we also saw how respectful Lin Rumei was towards him," Liu Toukang remarked.
"A young man—no matter how talented in martial arts—can only be so formidable. Is he really the only expert in this world? We have martial arts experts on Hong Kong Island too; we could invite Elder Liang to handle this," Han Baiying suggested.
"Elder Liang might not be a match for Mr. Jiang," Liu Toukang said worriedly.
"If Elder Liang won't do, then what about Master Gu?" Han Baiying asked.
"Isn't Master Gu already out of touch with worldly affairs?" Liu Toukang replied in surprise.
"Master Gu may not involve himself anymore, but we can invite Master Gu's top disciple Jia Xingliang— Master Jia. I met with Master Jia a few days ago and expressed our intention to have him serve as a patron for our family. His skills are truly extraordinary; martial arts cannot compare to his mastery of feng shui and metaphysics. Elder Liang once mentioned that his martial arts prowess would be utterly insignificant against Master Jia's abilities," Han Baiying explained.
