When County Magistrate Lu Zhenxuan saw that the visitor was Lin Dongyu, his eyes widened in disbelief. "You stole something again?"
Lin Dongyu quickly shook her head. "No, no!" She had been reformed for a long time! She glanced at Zou Shuheng and then at the angry crowd nearby, wishing she could just disappear into a hole.
Zou Shuheng tightly grasped her hand and said to Lu Zhenxuan, "Lin Dongyu is my wife. I want to accuse Hu Ba of forcibly taking my wife!"

Lu Zhenxuan coughed lightly to remind them of his presence, but Hu Ba didn't even look up. "Sir, can you step back for a moment? My wife and I need to discuss some private matters."
He actually dared to speak so disrespectfully to the County Magistrate! Lin Dongyu silently scorned him. She glanced at the dissatisfied Lu Zhenxuan and mustered her courage to break free from Hu Ba's embrace. "Sir, I'm not his wife... I was forced into this! I'm not familiar with him at all!"
Hu Ba's lips twitched slightly. "Lin Dongyu!"
"You can't scare me!" She ran behind Lu Zhenxuan in fear. "My lord, look at him! He's just trying to intimidate me! You have to stand up for me!"
Lu Zhenxuan put on an authoritative air and scolded, "Hu Ba, you can't scare a young lady like that. Beauties are meant to be cherished, not to be treated with disdain!" As he spoke, he playfully touched Lin Dongyu's small hand.
Hu Ba roared, "Lu Zhenxuan, you shameless one, don't corrupt my Little One!"
"How dare you call me shameless? Hu Ba, you'll never get to hold your wife again!" Lu Zhenxuan's face shifted between shades of anger and embarrassment. Only a few knew that she was disguised as a man, and this Da Hu was being utterly disrespectful! "Send out the order: from now on, Hu Ba is not allowed within ten steps of Xiao Yu. If he comes close, anyone can beat him up! A reward for anyone who can seriously hurt him!"
Hu Ba's face turned ashen.
Lin Dongyu felt a bit lost. Had she done something wrong?
Though a pang of guilt struck her, Lin Dongyu quickly fled before they could change their minds. Watching her escape in panic made Hu Ba's expression even darker. Lu Zhenxuan teased him deliberately, "Da Hu, if you want to pursue that girl, you'd better change your face; look at how scared you made her."
Hu Ba shot a cold glance at the silent Master Gu sitting nearby and said icily, "Keep an eye on your woman. If she wants to keep her head on her shoulders, she better not meddle in my affairs!"
A chill ran down Lu Zhenxuan's spine, and she quickly fell silent. She knew Hu Ba's capabilities and didn't have the courage to provoke him.
Master Gu spoke in a calm tone, "What do you see in that girl?"
"She's innocent and adorable; easy to bully." Thinking of Lin Dongyu softened Hu Ba's expression. "She will be the mother of my children."
Lu Zhenxuan suddenly felt a bit sympathetic towards Lin Dongyu. Not only was she oppressed by him, but now she was being treated like a breeding sow. She silently scorned him, "Hu Ba, treating a girl like this will bring you retribution!"
Ignoring Lu Zhenxuan's provocation, Hu Ba continued, "She is all alone; it's less troublesome this way. I hope she stays as she is... so keep your woman away from her!"
"All alone, is it?" Master Gu replied, his tone carrying an unusual emotion. "Does Lin Dongyu know about your past?"
Hu Ba's expression changed slightly. "I won't let her know."
"She is too innocent; she shouldn't be tainted by that dark past. I have the ability, and I will absolutely protect her innocence." After a pause, Hu Ba fell into deep thought, surprised at himself. He had initially just wanted her to bear him a child, but why was he now considering so much for her?
It turned out that, unknowingly, she had gradually integrated into his life and become increasingly important to him.
