Park Ji Jae climbed the mountain to find the Sect Leader, flattering and joking for quite a while until he finally got the information he wanted: the spirit beast that had yet to transform was simply waiting for the right time. Once it did transform, it would be a rare treasure. 0

He never expected that his Dabai could not only serve as a spirit beast mount but was also an exceptionally rare gem. 0

Park Ji Jae grinned widely, showering more compliments on the Sect Leader. Only when the sky grew dark did he hum a tune as he made his way down the mountain. 0

He thought about how Dabai hadn't eaten all day and had been forced into a Blood Pact. He decided to cook a chicken for it when he got back, and perhaps borrow a few drops of sesame oil from Auntie next door to add to the pot; it would surely make the dish even more fragrant, and Dabai would be happy. 0

Sheng Zai had never had a talent for cultivation. When he entered his room, the bottle of sesame oil slipped from his hand and rolled far across the floor, spilling precious oil everywhere. He didn’t even bother to pick it up… 0

Park Ji Jae's life of over twenty years flashed before his eyes, and he couldn't help but feel tears welling up. 0

Once again, he had misjudged the situation. He had hoped for Little White Fox to transform into a spirit beast mount so he could show off in front of his peers, but instead— 0

A naked woman, tied with a red thread around her ankle, was curled up by the leg of the table, crying her heart out. 0

Park Ji Jae immediately panicked, unsure whether to pick up the fallen sesame oil bottle first, cover her with clothing, or wipe her tears. His heart raced, and his mind felt muddled. 0

Surely anyone whose spirit beast transformed into a vixen instead of a mount would feel just as disheartened as he did… 0

“Hey, hey! Don’t cry!” 0

Bi Qing had been crying all day; now she was left with only sobs of grievance, tears streaking down her face while her eyes glistened red. 0

The wound from the Demon Binding Rope around her ankle no longer bled, but the red mark on her fair skin was painfully obvious! 0

Seeing that she ignored him, Park Ji Jae turned his head away in embarrassment. “Hey, hey! Stop crying! Otherwise, I’ll tie you up too.” Out of the corner of his eye, he realized that the smooth-skinned girl was actually the fox he held every night while sleeping. He couldn’t believe it; it was too much for him to accept, yet there was nothing he could do. 0

Bi Qing’s tears flowed like a spring when she saw Park Ji Jae trying to comfort her; she began crying again as if her tears were flowing freely without restraint. 0

Park Ji Jae had no choice but to wipe her tears, which fell into his palm like golden beads. The moment he touched her smooth little face, he lost his composure. "Don't cry anymore. You just want to see Luo Dichen, right? How about I take you up the mountain tomorrow?" 0

Bi Qing's sobs quieted down, and she was about to stop crying. Did he really mean to take her to see Di Chen? She lifted her head, wanting to confirm. 0

However, Park Ji Jae was oblivious to the look in Bi Qing's eyes; all he could think was: Oh dear! I’ve formed a Blood Pact with a fox spirit. What am I going to do? 0

"You’re the fox spirit! Wuwu... I’m now a Fox Immortal..." After forming the Blood Pact, Bi Qing easily sensed his thoughts, and it felt like such a terrible situation! 0

"Fox Immortal, please don’t cry. I'm really confused," Park Ji Jae said sincerely, feeling utterly lost. 0

No one had told him what would happen after forming a Blood Pact with a non-spiritual beast companion. Would he die if a mortal formed a Blood Pact with an immortal? 0

The thought of death made Park Ji Jae shiver again, and he furrowed his brow even more. 0

"I’m crying because I’m cold!" Bi Qing shouted. Her little nose wasn’t red from crying; it was frozen red. 0

Having been bare and cold all day, and starving as well, that idiot finally returned only to spill the delicious sesame oil—how stupid! 0

Park Ji Jae glanced at Bi Qing and immediately turned beet red. "Oh, right. Cold." He untied the Demon Binding Rope and scooped Bi Qing into a princess carry, placing her on the bed before tucking her in with the blanket. He hesitated at the bedside for quite some time before saying, "I’m sorry." 0

Before that apology could even register in Bi Qing's mind, Park Ji Jae rushed out to the yard and returned with a small chicken. The chicken was so tiny it could be swallowed whole. Park Ji Jae frowned, unsure how to handle it. 0

Bi Qing, wrapped in the blanket with only her head showing, called out to him, "Wait until it grows up before you eat it! This little thing isn’t even enough to fill my teeth!" 0

The already dazed little chicken was startled awake by her words; it chirped and rubbed its head against Park Ji Jae's palm. 0

"Adorable," Park Ji Jae murmured. 0

Bi Qing mistakenly thought he was referring to her and couldn’t help but blush, turning away with a huff. 0

Park Ji Jae finally managed to make a bowl of buckwheat dumpling soup and, feeling a bit shy, called out to Bi Qing to come eat. 0

Bi Qing, dressed in his oversized clothes, sat at the shabby dining table. With each bite she took, she remarked, “It’s terrible.” After saying this about thirty times, the dumpling soup was completely gone. 0

It seemed she was really hungry. 0

Park Ji Jae stared at her, noticing how her collar hung loosely, her jade-like neck extending into her clothes. What lay beneath that garment? He momentarily lost his thoughts until he heard Bi Qing clear her throat, snapping him back to reality. 0

No, he couldn’t let a fox spirit stay in his home. He was young and impulsive; trouble was bound to follow. 0

“I’m a Fox Immortal! Not a Fox Demon!” Bi Qing seemed to read his mind and emphasized this by tapping the table. 0

“Yes, yes, Fox Immortal. Look at this place; it’s so shabby. It’s not suitable for a deity like you to stay here. How about—” 0

“What are you trying to say?” 0

“Well… I just want to raise a mountable spirit beast… but you can’t be ridden… so…” 0

“How do you know I can’t be ridden if you haven’t tried?” 0

A vivid image suddenly flashed through Park Ji Jae’s mind, and two streams of blood rushed from his nose—oh, the fox spirit! Every word she spoke was enchanting and intoxicating. Park Ji Jae felt as if his time was running out… 0
