Dai Xinyi trembled in fear, desperately trying to break free, but Zhang Tianming's grip on her wrist was like iron. Panic surged within her, and she felt as though her breath was about to stop. In a moment of despair, she cried out for help, "Help! Someone help me!"
At that moment, a figure rushed in like lightning, yanking Zhang Tianming away from Dai Xinyi. She looked closely and saw it was Lin Hao!
Without a word, Lin Hao swung a punch at Zhang Tianming's face. Zhang Tianming staggered back, blood gushing from his nose. He let out an angry roar and lunged at Lin Hao, the two of them grappling with each other.
Though Zhang Tianming was tall and imposing, Lin Hao was quick and fierce. He delivered a kick to Zhang Tianming's stomach, causing him to double over in pain. Seizing the opportunity, Lin Hao grabbed his hair and slammed his face into the ground.
"Touch her again and see what happens!" Lin Hao shouted, raining down punches on Zhang Tianming's face and body.
Zhang Tianming was utterly defenseless against the onslaught, only able to groan in agony. Dai Xinyi stood nearby, watching the scene unfold with a mix of fear and gratitude. She had never seen Lin Hao so furious before, nor had she ever felt such intense safety.
Neighbors heard the commotion and came out to watch. Some recognized Zhang Tianming and began to whisper among themselves.
"Isn't that the scumbag who ran away from his wedding?"
"Yeah, I heard he even harassed his ex-girlfriend. What a shameless guy!"
"He deserves this beating; people like him should be punished!"
As Zhang Tianming listened to the murmurs around him, he felt his face burn with shame. Struggling to get up, he found Lin Hao pressing him down firmly, rendering him immobile.
"Let me go! If you dare hit me, I won't let you off!" Zhang Tianming gritted his teeth.
Lin Hao scoffed. "You think I'm afraid of you? Scum like you deserves a beating every time I see you!"
With that, Lin Hao landed several more hard punches until Zhang Tianming could no longer resist.
Just then, the police arrived at the scene. Seeing the situation, they immediately separated Lin Hao and Zhang Tianming.
"What’s going on here?" one officer asked.
Dai Xinyi quickly stepped forward to explain, "Officer, this man harassed me and attacked my friend."
The neighbors chimed in as witnesses, condemning Zhang Tianming's actions.
After assessing the situation, the police took Zhang Tianming back to the station. Lin Hao and Dai Xinyi followed to give their statements.
At the station, Zhang Tianming refused to admit his wrongdoing and even accused Lin Hao of starting the fight first.
Lin Hao laughed coldly. "You think the police will believe your lies? Scum like you should have been arrested long ago!"
Dai Xinyi also stepped forward to testify against Zhang Tianming, detailing how he had harassed her and threatened her.
Ultimately, faced with irrefutable evidence, Zhang Tianming had no choice but to acknowledge his mistakes. He was subjected to administrative detention and warned not to harass Dai Xinyi again.
After leaving the police station, Dai Xinyi tightly embraced Lin Hao, tears streaming down her face. "Thank you, Lin Hao. Thank you for saving me."
