"Fang Jing Shu, thank you." Li Wenbo grasped her hand in return, his tone carrying a hint of apology and gratitude. "I shouldn’t have doubted you."
Fang Jing Shu smiled sweetly, her eyes sparkling like stars twinkling in the night sky. "Silly, is there anything between us that we can’t trust?"
Li Wenbo felt a surge of emotion and leaned down to kiss Fang Jing Shu’s lips. The kiss was gentle yet lingering, filled with relief and cherished moments regained.
After they lingered in warmth for a while, Li Wenbo suddenly remembered something and jumped up from the sofa, pacing around the room like a caged beast. "No way! I can’t swallow this anger! That bastard Huang Guoqiang and that dog Zhao Shanhe—I will make them pay!"
Watching Li Wenbo's restless demeanor made Fang Jing Shu feel uneasy. "Wen Bo, what do you plan to do?"
Li Wenbo furrowed his brows tightly as he paced faster and faster across the floor, making thudding sounds that echoed like drums against Fang Jing Shu's heart. He opened his mouth several times as if wanting to say something but swallowed it back down again. His hesitance made Fang Jing Shu feel an unbearable itch in her heart.
