"None of your business!" Zhao Shanhe suddenly raised his voice, interrupting Zhang Tian. He glanced around nervously, fearing that others might overhear their conversation. Damn it, just my luck to run into a crazy woman! Don't go prying into things!
Zhang Tian's face darkened ominously; he was almost certain that Zhao Shanhe's imprisonment was connected to the matters he had previously mentioned. A surge of anger burned within him, and he felt an overwhelming urge to rush over and beat Zhao Shanhe senseless. This damned prison restricted his movements.
In the following days, Zhang Tian subtly probed for the truth about Zhao Shanhe's imprisonment. From other inmates, he learned that Zhao Shanhe had been arrested for rape.
Zhang Tian felt his blood run cold, a chill creeping from his feet to the top of his head. The victim, Dai Xinyi? He suddenly grabbed the collar of the person speaking, his eyes bloodshot as if ready to devour them whole. "Say that again! Who is the victim?"
The person was startled by Zhang Tian's intensity and stammered, "It's... it's that Dai Xinyi! I heard that Zhao Shanhe... "
Zhang Tian could no longer listen; he shoved the person away and staggered back a few steps, crashing against the cold wall. Dai Xinyi, the goddess he had longed for, the woman he had never even touched, had been assaulted by Zhao Shanhe!
"I will kill you!" His roar echoed throughout the cell like the cry of a trapped beast.
Zhang Tian's mental state completely shattered. Not only had Zhao Shanhe violated Dai Xinyi, but he had also been brutally betrayed by someone he once considered a brother.
He charged toward Zhao Shanhe's cell like a raging bull. The prison guard attempted to stop him but was shoved aside with ease.
"Zhao Shanhe! You bastard! Get out here!"
Hearing Zhang Tian's furious shout, Zhao Shanhe turned pale with fear. He cowered in the corner, trembling and too scared to show himself.
"What are you hiding for? Get out here!" Zhang Tian kicked open the cell door and stormed inside.
Seeing Zhang Tian’s hellish demeanor sent Zhao Shanhe into a panic. "Please, let me explain—"
"Explain? What is there to explain?" Zhang Tian grabbed Zhao Shanhe by the collar and lifted him off the ground. "How dare you touch my woman!"
"I... I..." Zhao Shanhe stammered, unable to form a complete sentence.
"You bastard!" Zhang Tian roared as he landed a heavy punch on Zhao Shanhe's face.
Blood streamed from Zhao Shanhe’s nose; he didn’t dare fight back and could only curl up defensively as Zhang Tian rained down blows upon him.
"I treated you like family, and this is how you repay me!" Zhang Tian shouted as he continued to strike. "What kind of brother are you?"
The guards quickly arrived and pulled Zhang Tian away from Zhao Shanhe. Zhao Shanhe lay on the ground, bloodied and groaning in pain. Meanwhile, Zhang Tian was taken to solitary confinement, his rage boiling over with nowhere to vent as he screamed at the wall.
