"Bang!" 0
The office door was pushed open, and Lynette Scavo stormed in with a group of people. 0
"Luke Dunphy," she waved the documents in her hand, "this is the consequence of your concealment from the organization." 0
Luke Dunphy lazily leaned back in his chair. "Oh? Do tell." 0
"From now on," she proudly lifted her chin, "you are stripped of your position as Young Master, and the Imperial Court Group will be taken over by my father." 0
I stood to the side, noticing Luke Dunphy's long fingers tapping lightly on the table. Was he... signaling me? 0
"Is that all you've got?" he said disdainfully. "Miss Lu, you’re too naive." 0
"Naive?" Lynette Scavo sneered. "Get them!" 0
The men in black behind her instantly drew their guns, aiming at us. 0
Oh no, those guns are loaded with silver bullets! 0
"Now," she walked up to me, "come with me quietly, and I might consider letting him live." 0
"You think," I raised an eyebrow, "that this small group can take us down?" 0
She paused, surprised. "You..." 0
I exchanged a glance with Luke Dunphy. 0
A smirk played at the corners of his lips as he pressed a button under the table. 0
"Boom!" 0
Suddenly, the glass of the entire floor shattered. 0
Dozens of bodyguards in black descended from above, quickly surrounding Lynette Scavo's men. 0
"Surprise," Luke Dunphy stood up, adjusting his cuffs. "I've been waiting for this moment for a long time." 0
Lynette Scavo's expression changed drastically. "You..." 0
"Chairman Lu is suspected of embezzlement and has already been taken away by the police," he sneered. "Who do you think should take over Wealthy Gala?" 0
"It’s impossible!" she screamed. "How could you..." 0

"You know the evidence of your funds hidden in Switzerland," I added with a smile, "has already been sent to the police." 0

She looked at me in disbelief. "When did you...?" 0

"Right when you were busy taking my picture," I shrugged. "Sorry, but I’m not just good at turning into a wolf; my hacking skills are pretty decent too." 0

Lynette Scavo gritted her teeth and suddenly pulled a syringe from her waist. "Then don’t blame me..." 0

Luke Dunphy was quick to react, pulling me behind him. "Idiot, do you even know what that is?" 0

"Of course I do," she sneered. "That’s a specially formulated rage serum from Dr. Larry. Once injected, she’ll turn into an uncontrollable beast. And then..." 0

Before she could finish her sentence, Luke Dunphy stepped forward and twisted her wrist. 0

"Ah!" The syringe fell to the ground, shattered under his foot. 0

"Take her away," he ordered coldly. 0

The bodyguards immediately moved in, subduing Lynette Scavo and her crew. 0

"Wait!" She struggled furiously. "You don’t understand, Larry Fower... he..." 0

"Is already under my control," Luke Dunphy interrupted her. "If you want to play, you should know your own limits." 0

As Lynette Scavo was taken away, I let out a long sigh of relief. "Finally..." 0

Before I could finish my thought, he suddenly pushed me against the wall. "Who told you to take such risks?" 0

"Huh?" 0

"Hacking into the the Lu account?" He narrowed his eyes. "Aren't you afraid of being discovered?" 0

I rolled my eyes. "What else was I supposed to do? I couldn’t just watch you do it alone..." 0

"Alone?" He chuckled softly. "Little Wolf Cub, are you worried about me?" 0

"I..." 0

He leaned closer, our noses almost touching. "Tell me, are you reluctant to part with me?" 0

My heart skipped a beat, and I hurriedly changed the subject. "Um, about the organization..." 0

"What are you afraid of?" His fingers lifted my chin. "I’m here." 0

"But..." 0

"However," he seemed to ponder, "you really should pay a price." 0

"What price—" 0

Before I could finish my sentence, he lowered his head and kissed me. 0

His warm breath enveloped me instantly; his kiss was forceful and domineering, leaving no room for refusal. 0

Wait, this taste... 0

I suddenly pushed him away. "Have you been drinking?!" 0

"Just a bit of red wine," he said, licking his lips with lingering desire. "Just to perk me up." 0

"You..." I suddenly realized, "So you already knew Lynette Scavo would be here today?" 0

"Otherwise?" He smirked. "You don't think someone as clever as me would actually let her slip through the cracks, do you?" 0

Seeing his smug expression made me speechless. 0

"Then why did you let me take the risk of hacking into..." 0

"How else could I give you a chance to shine?" he chuckled softly. "My Little Wolf Cub, didn't you do quite well?" 0

"Luke Dunphy!" 0

"Alright," he said, wrapping his arms around my waist. "Come with me to a place." 0

"Where to?" 0

He didn't answer, simply picking me up in a bridal carry. 0

We passed through the corridor and pushed open a hidden door. 0

A secret room appeared before us. 0

In the center of the room sat an ancient wooden box. 0

"What is this...?" 0

"This is something your parents left for you," he said softly. "Fifteen years ago, my father found it." 0

My hands trembled slightly. "What's inside...?" 0

"Shall we take a look?" 0
I took a deep breath and lifted the lid of the box. 0
A quaint ring lay quietly inside. 0
"This is the heirloom ring of the Wolf Clan," he explained, "representing identity and power." 0
Just as I reached for it, he picked up the ring first and knelt on one knee. 0
"So," he looked up at me, his gaze unusually serious, 0
"are you willing to let me keep it safe for you for a lifetime?" 0
Moonlight spilled over his handsome profile, and those eyes that were usually so cool were now filled with deep affection. 0
"Little Wolf Cub," he said softly, "this time, let me protect you." 0
My eyes felt a bit warm, and I nodded, "Alright." 0
He placed the ring on my finger and suddenly said, 0
"Actually, this ring is passed down to males only." 0
"Huh?" 0
"So," he grinned mischievously, "you owe me a favor." 0
"What favor?" 0
He stood up and whispered in my ear, 0
"Tonight is a full moon; let me see what you look like when you transform?" 0
"Not a chance!" 0
"Don't be shy," he said with a teasing smile, "it's not like you haven't shown me before..." 0
"Luke Dunphy!" 0
I lunged at him in embarrassment and anger, but he easily caught me and chuckled softly, 0
"Alright, my Little Wolf Cub, it's time for your history lesson." 0
"What history lesson?" 0
"For example," he winked, "how adorable you were as a child." 0
"..." 0
