Lin Mo sat in a corner of the library, surrounded by stacks of heavy ancient texts and documents. The strange striation on his forehead glimmered faintly under the dim light, as if silently reminding him that his life had changed forever. 0

Ever since he discovered his ability to traverse time and space, Lin Mo had been searching for clues about this striation. He knew that this symbol was connected to his powers and might even be the key to unraveling all the mysteries surrounding him. 0

"Ancient symbols... Time-Space Rift... curses..." Lin Mo murmured to himself, his fingers lightly tracing the pages of a book. He had perused countless volumes but had yet to find a symbol that matched the one on his forehead exactly. 0

Just then, an old tome caught his attention. The cover read "Ancient Civilizations and Mysterious Symbols," and the pages were yellowed with age, some edges even frayed. Lin Mo carefully opened the book, scanning the dense text and illustrations. 0

Suddenly, his finger halted on one page. In the center was a symbol strikingly similar to the striation on his forehead, though more intricate. Beside it was a passage written in some ancient script that appeared somewhat blurred. 0

"What is this...?" Lin Mo's heart raced, and he felt warmth radiating from the striation on his forehead. He scrutinized the accompanying notes and found references to a phenomenon called "Time-Space Rift" and a force referred to as a "curse." 0

"Time-Space Rift... could this be the source of my abilities?" Lin Mo whispered, a surge of excitement coursing through him. 0

However, just as he prepared to continue reading, the library lights flickered and then went out completely. Darkness enveloped him, with only moonlight filtering through the windows, casting long shadows across the shelves. 0

"What’s happening?" Lin Mo stood up, trying to find an exit. At that moment, he heard low footsteps approaching slowly in the dark. 0

"Who’s there?" Lin Mo's voice trembled slightly with tension. 0

No one answered; only the footsteps grew closer. His heart raced as he felt the warmth of the striation intensify. He knew he had to leave quickly. 0

He groped his way toward the exit but stumbled into a bookshelf after just a few steps. Several books fell with a dull thud. Lin Mo bent down to pick them up when his hand brushed against something cold. 0

He retrieved it and examined it under the moonlight, discovering it was an old rubbing depicting a complex symbol nearly identical to the striation on his forehead. 0

"This is..." Lin Mo's heart raced again as he felt warmth radiating from his forehead once more. He realized he was getting closer to the truth. 0

Clutching the yellowed rubbing tightly, his heart pounded like a drum. In the darkness of the library, the footsteps drew nearer, as if someone were slowly approaching him. He knew he had to escape quickly. 0

He felt along for an exit and finally touched a door. He pushed it open forcefully and found himself at the back entrance of the library. Moonlight spilled into an empty alleyway as Lin Mo took a deep breath and dashed outside. 0

He ran several blocks until he was sure no one was following him before stopping to catch his breath. Looking down at the rubbing in his hand, he noticed that its symbol glowed faintly in the moonlight, almost as if responding to his heartbeat. 0

"What is this...?" Lin Mo murmured, filled with confusion. 0

The next morning, Lin Mo arrived at work with last night's events replaying in his mind. He knew he needed to find more clues about that symbol, but the library no longer felt safe. 0

As he prepared to start working, a stranger walked into his office. She appeared to be around thirty years old, her long hair casually tied back; she was strikingly beautiful. Though there was a hint of fatigue on her face, her eyes were sharp and alert. 0

"Are you Lin Mo?" she approached him and extended her hand. "I'm Su Yuqing, a researcher from the Archaeological Research Institute." 0

Lin Mo paused for a moment before grasping her hand. "Yes, I am Lin Mo. How can I help you?" 0

Su Yuqing smiled slightly. "I heard that you have a keen interest in ancient symbols. Our research institute has recently discovered some related artifacts, and we would like your assistance in examining them." 0

Lin Mo's heart raced, and he felt a faint warmth on his forehead. He knew this could be the opportunity to unravel the mystery he had been seeking. 0

"Of course, I would be happy to help," Lin Mo nodded, a glimmer of excitement flashing in his eyes. 0

In the afternoon, Lin Mo followed Su Yuqing to the Archaeological Research Institute. The institute was located in an old building on the outskirts of the city, surrounded by high walls that added to its air of mystery. 0

Su Yuqing led Lin Mo through the corridors to an office filled with documents. The room was cluttered with various artifacts and books, and several structural diagrams of ancient tombs adorned the walls. Su Yuqing approached a table and picked up a rubbing, handing it to Lin Mo. "This is a rubbing of a stone tablet we unearthed from an ancient tomb. It features some strange symbols; I’d like you to see if they pique your interest." 0

Lin Mo took the rubbing and examined it closely. The symbols on the tablet bore a striking resemblance to the striations on his forehead, only they were more intricate, as if imbued with some ancient power. 0

"Do you know what these symbols mean?" Lin Mo looked up, urgency flickering in his eyes. 0

Su Yuqing shook her head. "Not at this moment. These symbols do not correspond to any known ancient script, and we are attempting to decipher their meanings." 0

She paused for a moment, her gaze curious. "Why are you interested in these symbols?" 0

Lin Mo hesitated but decided to reveal part of the truth. "I've been researching some ancient civilizations and discovered that these symbols might be related to a certain mysterious power. If you don't mind, I would like to participate in your research; perhaps I can be of assistance." 0

Su Yuqing remained silent for a moment, seemingly weighing the pros and cons. Finally, she nodded. "Alright, we do need more help. However, you must adhere to our regulations and cannot act independently." 0

"I understand," Lin Mo sighed in relief, secretly grateful that he had been approached by someone from the Archaeological Research Institute just when he was unsure how to seek clues—especially since it was someone as captivating as her. 0

With a heart full of anticipation and nervousness, Lin Mo stepped into the Archaeological Research Institute. During his time working with Su Yuqing, they delved into studying the artifacts and rubbings unearthed from the tombs day and night, yet their progress was painfully slow. Those mysterious symbols seemed deliberately elusive, refusing to reveal even a hint of their secrets. 0
