She raised her hands high, chanting an incantation in a language I couldn't understand.
Yuanwai Li was forced to retreat repeatedly by the red light, the arrogance that once adorned his face had vanished without a trace, leaving only sheer terror. He shouted at the top of his lungs, "You shameless vixen, don't get too cocky! The the Li Family is not to be trifled with; dare to make a move against me and see what happens!"
Mei Niang let out a cold laugh, her voice sharp like ice shards, carrying an unbearable chill. "The the Li Family? Today, I will show you what it truly means to be someone not to be trifled with!"
In an instant, the red light in her hands shook violently. Yuanwai Li's subordinates were swept away like leaves in a storm, flying uncontrollably and landing in disarray.
Seeing the situation turn dire, Yuanwai Li hastily pulled out a yellow talisman from his pocket, trembling as he pointed it at Mei Niang. With a feigned bravado, he shouted, "Hmph! I was prepared for this. Watch me send you back to your original form!"
Mei Niang dismissed his threats entirely; the ball of red light transformed into a razor-sharp blade that shot toward Yuanwai Li with a fierce howl.
He let out a piercing scream as the red light struck him before he could even throw the talismans, scattering them across the ground. The force sent him flying backward, crashing heavily to the ground. He struggled for a moment but couldn't get back up.
"What... what do you want?" Yuanwai Li lay on the ground, his voice trembling and devoid of its earlier bravado.
Mei Niang scoffed and stepped closer to him. "What do I want? Now you know fear?"
I looked at Mei Niang with deep concern. I could sense that her body was swaying slightly in the intense red light, as if she had reached her limit. I shouted at her urgently:
"Mei Niang, stop pretending! Please, just stop!"
