Zong Zeyu opened his mouth and asked, "What do you need from me?" 0

Tong Le replied directly, "My father had a piece of land registered under your name before he passed away. I want to reclaim that land now. Also, where exactly is that land located?" 0

Zong Zeyu looked at Tong Le coldly, his gaze drifting to the document bag in her hand, a surge of anger rising within him. He believed that Tong Le had forged a pregnancy certificate to bind herself to Ke Wenjie in marriage, and now, her eagerness to reclaim the land seemed like an attempt to offer a gift to Ke Wenjie. Perhaps Tong Le's marriage was on the brink of collapse; in her desperate bid to hold onto a man unworthy of her, she pretended to be pregnant and was willing to give up a piece of land worth over a hundred million as a gesture of loyalty. 0

Zong Zeyu thought Tong Le had lost her mind, completely irrational. In his memory, she was not someone so stubborn and foolish. 0

He struggled to express his emotions, taking a deep breath as a wave of helplessness washed over him. He finally spoke, "I can't give you that land right now. We have an agreement; it will be handed over to you at the right time." 0

Tong Le frowned in confusion. "The right time? What kind of timing is considered appropriate?" 0

Zong Zeyu couldn't possibly say that the right time would be after Tong Le divorced Ke Wenjie. He had never made any formal agreement with her; he was simply afraid that Tong Le might hand the land over too easily, and he could only imagine the consequences she would face. 0

Tong Le felt anxious and uneasy. She worried that Zong Zeyu might keep the land for himself since all the paperwork was under his name. If he played tricks, it was highly likely she would never get it back. 0

Zong Zeyu asked, "Are you short on money right now?" 0

Tong Le looked up, her eyes filled with evasion and distress. If she weren't in need of money, she wouldn't be pursuing this piece of land. 0

Zong Zeyu continued, "If you need money, I can lend it to you, but the land cannot be touched for now." 0

Tong Le furrowed her brow. "Why would you lend me money? Are we really that close? I’ve never heard of you before." 0

Zong Zeyu didn’t know how to answer her question. He had a good relationship with Tong Le's family—so good that he almost became her brother-in-law—but she was unaware of any of this. 0

He said, "How much do you need? I can have my secretary transfer it to you right now." 0

Tong Le's frown deepened; she found Zong Zeyu very strange—strange enough that she couldn't understand him logically. 0

At that moment, her phone buzzed with messages from her mother-in-law, Zhang Huizhi, bombarding her with requests to hurry home and cook dinner. 0

Tong Le stood up and said, "Zong, let's leave it at this for today. I'll contact you later about the land issue; I have something urgent at home." 0

Zong Zeyu nodded as Tong Le left the hotel restaurant. He took out his phone and called the driver waiting outside the hotel. 0

Meanwhile, just as Tong Le exited the hotel, she was stopped by the driver of Zong Zeyu, who was holding two large boxes of premium ginseng. 0

The driver spoke, "Miss Tong, this is a gift from Zong for your meeting." 0

Tong Le was taken aback. A gift? 0

The driver handed the two large boxes of ginseng to her. "Please accept them." 0

Tong Le turned back to glance at the hotel entrance, but she could no longer see Zong Zeyu's figure. However, this nourishing ginseng was indeed suitable for her current condition. 0

She hesitated to refuse, but the driver smiled and said, "Just take it. This is Zong's intention. If you don't accept it, I won't know how to explain it." 0

Gratefully, Tong Le accepted the gift. She had just been worried that reclaiming that piece of land might pose difficulties, but it seemed that Zong was not as hard to deal with as she had thought. 0

Yet, she couldn't recall when she had befriended such a young person like Zong Zeyu, who even dared to take charge of properties worth over a hundred million. 0

Tong Le returned home. 0

As soon as she stepped inside, she was met with the disapproving face of her mother-in-law, Zhang Huizhi. That face could stretch as long as it wanted and exude as much displeasure as possible! 0

Zhang Huizhi snatched the items from Tong Le's hands: the two large boxes of premium ginseng and the medical documents in the folder. 0
