Sun Hu felt his face flush as he realized the truth. He had thought of himself as a notorious gangster in the area, but in reality, the two men in suits, the Zong Family Brothers, were the real crime lords.
Sun Hu was ready to concede—no, he was fighting for his life!
He opened his mouth to speak but couldn't find the words. His eyes bulged and reddened as he struggled to breathe. Finally, he managed to croak out, "Spare me!"
Zong Zeyu released his grip and kicked Sun Hu hard in the back. Dealing with someone like Sun Hu required more than just reason; it called for violence.
Holding a putter, Zong Zeyu stood in front of Sun Hu and said, "Leave two of your men here. The rest of you can get out of my company."
Sun Hu complied, ordering his subordinates to leave quickly while keeping two who seemed somewhat perceptive.
Zong Zeyu noticed one of the subordinates holding a sack and raised an eyebrow in mockery. "Did you bring that sack to my company to get yourself thrown off this twenty-story building?"
Sun Hu turned to his subordinate and gestured frantically, "Put it away! Damn it, hurry up!"
The subordinate quickly stuffed the sack behind him and tucked it into his jacket.
Zong Zeyu casually picked up an apple and took a bite. He turned to Zong Jin and said, "You handle the rest."
Zong Zeyu settled into a nearby massage chair, enjoying his snack.
Zong Jin pulled out a silver card from a drawer along with a promissory note and slid them across the table. He said seriously, "There’s one million in this card. Dao Wen borrowed a million from you, and now it’s being returned in full. Additionally, you need to sign this receipt and promissory note, confirming that you won’t trouble Dao Wen anymore."
Sun Hu was clearly unhappy; he was a loan shark, not a charity worker! The million he lent out initially was supposed to return more than just a million—he was losing money!
Just as he opened his mouth to protest, Zong Zeyu casually tossed a golf ball from his chair, hitting Sun Hu squarely in the mouth with pinpoint accuracy.
Zong Zeyu sighed, "If only my putting were this accurate; I lost quite a bit last time."
Sun Hu's front teeth rattled from the impact. He covered his mouth, feeling helpless. He knew he was in a perilous situation; whether he could walk out of here alive was uncertain. If luck turned against him and he collapsed right there in the office, no one would even know! This was Zong Group after all; he had no idea how powerful Zong truly was, but it was enough to terrify him! Moreover, having witnessed the ruthlessness of this Second Young Master of the Zong Family left him utterly astonished.
Sun Hu dared not resist anymore, but he was troubled about how to explain this to his boss when he returned.
Zong Jin placed a black pen and ink pad next to the agreement and reminded him, "Sign here."
Sun Hu realized he was being coerced but had no choice; if he didn’t sign and take the money, he wouldn’t be able to walk out that door alive!
He signed, stamped his fingerprint on the document, and took the silver card while suppressing a belly full of anger.
Zong Jin took the agreement with satisfaction. His mind was filled with thoughts of Dao Wen's face; when he snapped back to reality, even he was momentarily stunned.
Zong Zeyu stood up and walked toward the office door.
As he passed by Sun Hu's two subordinates, he cast an intriguing glance at them. The subordinates dared not meet Zong Zeyu's gaze at all.
Zong Zeyu spoke up, "I'll give each of you a hundred thousand to stuff your boss into a sack, carry him out of here, and toss him by the roadside. What do you say?"
The two lackeys were terrified, their heads bowed low, not daring to respond.
Losing his patience, Zong Zeyu added, "Then I'll just throw both of you into a sack, tie it up, and toss you into the gravel truck. How does that sound?"
As soon as he finished speaking, the two lackeys hurriedly pulled out a large sack. The quality of the sack was excellent; they rushed behind Sun Hu, one pinning him down while the other pulled the sack over his head. In no time, Sun Hu was completely stuffed into the sack from head to toe.
Sun Hu cursed and struggled, but it was futile; the sack was simply too sturdy!
Zong Zeyu gestured to the bodyguards inside the room, who opened the office door. Sun Hu's two lackeys dragged him out of the sack as if he were a fat pig being taken to slaughter.
At that moment, at the other end of the corridor, Tong Le appeared. Dressed in a white fitted long dress with her long hair cascading down her shoulders and a light touch of makeup on her face, she was startled to see someone being carried out of the office in a sack, with muffled cries coming from inside.
Zong Zeyu stepped out of the office and noticed Tong Le's frightened expression. He quickly moved closer to block her view with his tall frame.
In a low voice, he reassured her, "Just dealing with some office trash. Don’t be scared."
Tong Le had never witnessed such a scene before and was genuinely shaken.
Zong Zeyu looked down at her anxious face and spoke softly, "Did you do your makeup? Is that my girlfriend's skincare products I bought for you?"
Tong Le abruptly lifted her head. Her big watery eyes and flawless skin were enhanced by the skincare and makeup Zong Zeyu had given her, making her look even more delicate and beautiful.
Her cheeks flushed slightly as she understood the implication behind his words. Her heart raced uncontrollably, making it difficult for her to think clearly or speak.
Zong Zeyu gazed at the light-colored lip gloss on Tong Le's lips—full and glistening. If it weren't for the cries coming from the sack behind them and the fact that they were in an office, he would have kissed those lips right then and there, just like he had done at the seaside restaurant before.
Taking a deep breath to steady himself, he said softly, "You're stunning."
