Zhang Huizhi wandered around the Zong Group office building, feeling lost and confused. She didn't know who to look for and had no idea which floor the big boss was on. She approached several employees for help, but they all assumed she was mentally unstable and didn't dare to respond.
After pondering for a while, Zhang Huizhi remembered that Lan Qingqing also worked at the company. She quickly called Lan Qingqing to ask which floor she should go to. At that moment, Lan Qingqing was on leave and hadn't come to the office. She didn't want Zhang Huizhi to cause a scene at Zong Group, fearing that others would discover her connection with Zhang Huizhi. In the lobby, employees started whispering among themselves, and soon security guards arrived at the scene.
Zhang Huizhi certainly wouldn't let the guards take control of her; she pointed at two of them and warned, "You dare touch me? I'm an old woman with a heart condition! If you lay a finger on me, I'll drop dead right here! I'll die in your Zong Group building! Then you'll have no way to conduct business!"
Her voice rose several octaves as she shouted, "Where's your boss? Come out and see me! I want to hear what he sees in that worthless woman!"
The guards hesitated; dealing with someone like Zhang Huizhi was quite challenging.
Before long, Zong Jin appeared at the entrance of the Office Lobby. Unaware of Zhang Huizhi's intentions, he had come to meet with department leaders. At that moment, Zong Zeyu was also out of the office on business.
As Zong Jin approached the lobby, whispers spread among the employees that Zong Jin had arrived.
Upon hearing that Zong Jin was there, Zhang Huizhi immediately concluded that this tall man must be the one having an affair with Tong Le!
Zhang Huizhi couldn't distinguish between Zong Jin and Zong Zeyu; since he shared the surname Zong and was referred to as "Zong Zong" by the employees, she assumed he was indeed the one.
She strode forward to confront Zong Jin.
Zong Jin wore a serious expression, confused by the situation. His female secretary quickly stepped forward to block Zhang Huizhi's path. "May I ask who you are looking for?"
Before she could finish speaking, Zhang Huizhi snapped back rudely, "Get out of my way!"
She pushed aside the female secretary and glared at Zong Jin, who looked utterly bewildered.
Zhang Huizhi sized up Zong Jin from head to toe and said condescendingly, "You look decent enough but are trying to seduce married women? Aren't you ashamed? My daughter-in-law is such low quality that it's an insult for my son! And you think she's some kind of treasure? Now everyone knows about your affair outside! Don't you realize she has a husband? Do you really expect my son to support your illegitimate child?"
Zong Jin was completely confused; he had no idea who this old woman was. He even mistakenly thought she might be Dao Wen's mother-in-law, but Dao Wen wasn't even married.
After several seconds of silence, it finally dawned on Zong Jin that this old lady was looking for Zong Zeyu.
Zong Jin remained silent.
Zhang Huizhi turned to the employees in the hall and shouted, "Look at your boss! He’s messing around with women and still has the nerve to complain! Just because he has money, he thinks he's something special!"
She directed her ire at Zong Jin, saying, "Come on, tell me how that little hussy, Tong Le, seduced you. Did she trick you? She’s not even married! Let me make this clear: she’s just a dog to my son! That useless Tong Le has been sitting at home doing laundry and cooking for my son ever since she graduated from college. She can barely handle housework; she can't do anything else! Even the company her parents left her is being managed by my son! Without him, Tong Le would be out on the street starving!"
"I completely disapproved when my son chose that good-for-nothing Tong Le! My son is a top graduate! Only a genuine wealthy heiress deserves him! If it weren’t for my son feeling sorry for Tong Le and insisting on marrying her, I would never have agreed to this union!"
Zhang Huizhi sneered contemptuously. "You think that useless thing is worth anything? I think you've been blinded by dog poop!"
