The person was rushed to the hospital, but upon learning about Lan Qingqing's condition, they flatly refused to admit her. After undergoing multiple cosmetic procedures in a short span, including a cesarean section, no hospital dared to take on the risk.

Ke Jie had a different stance. His only demand was that he didn't care what happened to Lan Qingqing; he just wanted the baby to be healthy.
The tension between Mo Kai Liang and Ke Jie escalated, neither willing to back down.
Ke Jie was taken aback by Mo Kai Liang's transformation. In just a few months, he had changed from a country bumpkin into someone with a hint of local boss charm. His fashion sense had improved, and even his hair seemed slicked back now.
Unable to hold back, Ke Jie joked, "Did you put shoe polish on your head? Trying to act like a city person? Do you think Lan Qingqing would like this? I just heard the doctor say you were shouting in the hospital that you'd pay any amount to save her life?"
Ke Jie scrutinized Mo Kai Liang. "Did you win the lottery or something? That outfit doesn’t look cheap. I don’t recall buying you clothes from this brand; didn’t I get you all your city clothes when you first arrived?"
Mo Kai Liang felt disgusted. He loathed Ke Jie's arrogance as if only he had the right to wealth while others were merely his dogs or slaves.
Mo Kai Liang warned Ke Jie, "I know you have connections in this hospital. If you dare instruct the doctors to save only the child and not the mother, I will call the police! I won’t let this go!"
Ke Jie was increasingly surprised; the previously timid boy now dared to talk back to him.
At that moment, a doctor approached Ke Jie and briefly explained the situation: surgery would begin shortly. The baby would have to be delivered prematurely, and the medical team would do their utmost to save both mother and child. If it came down to making a choice, priority would be given to saving the mother due to regulations.
Ke Jie felt disappointed. He had been considering using this opportunity to eliminate Lan Qingqing altogether; after all, once the child was born, having or not having a mother wouldn’t matter since she was nothing but a burden.
As the surgery commenced, Ke Jie grew impatient. He thought about leaving for a while since there were numerous issues waiting for him at work. Waiting around here felt like wasting time.
However, Mo Kai Liang was pacing anxiously, unable to stay still. He insisted that Ke Jie stay with him; they had to endure this wait together.
Three hours later, when the baby was born and Lan Qingqing's life was saved, problems arose.
When Ke Jie saw his biological son for the first time, it felt as if the sky had fallen on him. His joyful expression instantly turned into one of confusion and disbelief as if he were staring at a monster.
