At the dining table, Zong Zeyu was busy cooking meat for Tong Le, whose small bowl was nearly overflowing. With a troubled expression, Tong Le murmured to Zong Zeyu, "Could you just leave me alone and eat for yourself?"
Zong Zeyu refused to back down and shot Tong Le a glance. Following his gaze, Tong Le looked into Dao Wen's bowl beside him and was taken aback; the meat in that bowl was piled high like a mountain.
Dao Wen wore a helpless expression as he turned to Zong Jin. "Can you just eat for yourself? Do I not have hands or a mouth, or can I not tell which is meat?"
Zong Jin awkwardly glanced at Tong Le and replied, "Then you eat."
On the other side, Zhou Zishuo was rather rude. He already had issues with Zong Jin and stood up to grab a whole chopstick full of meat from Dao Wen's bowl.
Dao Wen shot Zhou Zishuo a fierce glare.
Turning to everyone at the table, Dao Wen spoke up, "Can anyone help introduce my brother Zhou Zishu to a girlfriend? He’s way too idle every day; finding him a partner would keep him in check."
Zhou Zishuo immediately retorted, "I don't want a girlfriend; women are trouble."
Wu Youyou chimed in with a playful suggestion, "Isn't Jin Zi Meng single too? You two should give it a try."
Jin Zi Meng nearly choked on his food at that comment.
Dao Wen teased, "Look at that! Even the girls don't want to be with you. That shows how unlikable you are."
Zhou Zishuo protested, "Am I really that bad? I have high standards!"
Zong Zeyu became serious. "What type do you like, Zhou Zishuo? We could organize a mixer in the Zong Shi Yan Tuan soon. There are plenty of singles there; maybe we can set something up."
Zhou Zishuo quickly replied, "No way! I'm fine being single; it's less hassle."
Jiang Zhichao agreed, "Exactly! Being single is great; dating just brings a ton of trouble."
Jin Zi Meng added, "Well, when I join the crew, I'll definitely meet many beautiful ladies and can introduce you!"
Jiang Zhichao pondered for a moment. "Hmm, beautiful ladies sound good."
The atmosphere at the table was lively as everyone raised their glasses to toast.
Just as they were enjoying themselves, Tong Le's phone rang unexpectedly—it was Mo Kai Liang.
Tong Le stood up and moved to a quieter spot to answer the call. On the other end, Mo Kai Liang sounded anxious. "I'm sorry to disturb you, but I really don't know what to do anymore! Lan Qingqing has been taken by the police; they say she’s suspected of murder. I truly don’t know how to handle this! Please help her!"
Tong Le frowned. "Murder? Did Lan Qingqing kill someone?"
Mo Kai Liang hurriedly replied, "She didn’t kill anyone! It was Wan Zhang who died. Afterward, Ying Rong Xiao reported that Lan Qingqing killed Wan Zhang! She’s already been taken away, and I can't see her anymore! Please help me; I'm begging you!"
