Soon, another cold chain transport vehicle drove into the parking lot. The newly arrived vehicle was clearly not owned by the company, as Ke Jie could tell.
He watched with his own eyes as two groups of people began unloading and loading goods. He also saw a wrapped body being lifted onto the company's vehicle. It was unmistakably a corpse; he could see the lifeless, bloodless feet that had turned a dark blue.
He felt an overwhelming urge to vomit, but his rationality forced him to hold it back. He watched as the body was loaded onto the vehicle, which then smoothly exited the parking lot, clearly a process that had been repeated many times before.
At that moment, he understood why Hua Rongxiao had given him money to open a Logistics Department, and why she had been so generous without asking for shares—she simply wanted him to make a comeback.

Hua Rongxiao turned off the faucet with a snap and shouted, "I'm talking to you! Can't you hear me? What were you doing all day? Why didn't you report to me? Didn't I tell you that things are tense lately and we need to keep a low profile? You need my approval for everything!"
Ke Jie endured it all; he wanted nothing more than to escape from Hua Rongxiao's trap. He finally spoke up, "Can I transfer the Logistics Department to you? I don't want to do this anymore. I want to spend some time back home. Ever since my mom passed away, I haven't had a chance to pay my respects properly."
Hua Rongxiao instantly calmed down but only focused on one point: "You miss home? What does that have to do with the Logistics Department? What's wrong? Are you unhappy with the money? Or is managing the company too stressful for you? Are you throwing a tantrum?"
Ke Jie turned on the faucet again and replied firmly, "No, I just simply don't want to do it anymore. You don't need to give me any bonuses; I'll find a way to make money myself."
Hua Rongxiao let out a cold laugh. "Make money? Where are you going to make money? Are you going to look for a job at Grand Master? Earning twenty or thirty thousand a month? Or are you going to start your own business using the pocket money I gave you as startup capital and end up losing everything? Or have you found another rich woman who's better than me?"
Her words struck Ke Jie like a blow. "What the hell are you talking about?!"
Hua Rongxiao showed no sign of backing down. "Am I wrong? Without Tong Le back then, would you have enjoyed such luxury later on? If it weren't for me now, could you have achieved your current status? Ke Jie, your ability to close deals today is all thanks to my face! Do you think you're something special? With your few words, can you get someone else's boss to invest in you or foot your bills? Don't kid yourself! You really think Tongshan Real Estate succeeded solely because of your efforts?"
Hua Rongxiao laughed heartily. "All those years I've quietly watched over you; Tongshan Real Estate's success is due to Tong Le's connections! It has nothing to do with you! You probably don’t even know how many bad things I've heard about you in this circle! They say you're young and clueless; if it weren't for Tong Family's old man being so well-respected when he was alive, no one would give a kid like you so many opportunities! You really don’t know your own worth! I thought you were smart enough to understand that it's good to lean on big trees for shade; instead, you've become more arrogant!"
Ke Jie felt utterly humiliated. When Tong Le used to say such things to him, he thought she was naive and didn’t understand anything; but now hearing these words from Hua Rongxiao’s mouth left him with no excuses or reasons left.
Furious, Ke Jie shouted back, "Shut up! Just stop talking!"
