Jiang Ming trudged through the desolate mountains, his body weary, yet his heart was filled with a yearning for the truth. He followed a narrow path, trying to find a way down while constantly piecing together fragmented memories.
During his escape, Jiang Ming encountered a woman named Xiao Ya. She appeared just as lost and confused as he was, her eyes reflecting an unusual emptiness that resonated with his own experiences.
"Who are you?" Jiang Ming asked warily.
"My name is Xiao Ya. I... I don't remember how I got here," she replied, her voice trembling with fear and uncertainty.
As he looked at her, Jiang Ming suddenly realized that she might also be an Experimental Subject. He decided to team up with her; perhaps they could help each other in their quest for the truth.
Together, they searched for an escape route in the mountains and stumbled upon hidden clues—abandoned experimental equipment and documents. These hints seemed to point toward a secret Experimental Base. Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya resolved to head to this base, hoping to uncover the truth about their identities and the experiments they had endured.
On their way to the base, they encountered other Experimental Subjects, each with their own stories and painful experiences. They were all struggling against the encroachment of their Mirror Personalities. Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya shared their experiences and memories with them, seeking common ground and clues.
As they drew closer to the Experimental Base, the interference from the Mirror Personality grew stronger. Reflections in mirrors appeared before him, attempting to confuse and control him. Jiang Ming felt his consciousness blurring; he needed to find a way to resist the invasion of his Mirror Personality.
"Jiang Ming, trust no one—not even yourself," the reflection sneered.
Jiang Ming clenched his fists, striving to focus: "I am real; I have my own will. You cannot control me!"
On the outskirts of the Experimental Base, Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya discovered surveillance equipment and recorded files. Through these documents, they learned that the scale of the experiment was far greater than they had imagined. Scientists were attempting to create a batch of perfectly obedient "Perfect Personas" through memory implantation and personality replication, of which they were merely a part.
"We must find the scientist and make him tell us everything," Xiao Ya insisted firmly.
Jiang Ming nodded in agreement as they entered the Experimental Base together. Inside, they encountered more experimental equipment and imprisoned Experimental Subjects. It seemed that the scientists had already noticed their presence and began taking action.
Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya navigated through the base, evading pursuit by the scientists. They discovered a hidden laboratory where they found detailed records and data about the experiments. Gradually, complete memories began to piece together in Jiang Ming's mind; he realized he had once been an ordinary office worker who had been brought here by mysterious forces and forced into becoming an Experimental Subject.
"We can't let this experiment continue; we must stop them!" Jiang Ming declared angrily.
Xiao Ya nodded in agreement as they resolved to confront the scientist, expose his conspiracy, and help other Experimental Subjects regain their true selves. Deep within the laboratory, they finally located the scientist. He looked at them with a sly smile on his face.
"You've finally arrived; I've been waiting for you," he said with a cold laugh.
Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya exchanged glances, knowing that the real confrontation was about to begin. In this battle for truth and self-redemption, they had to find their own answers.
