Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya led the Experimental Subjects to a secluded abandoned factory, which would serve as their temporary refuge. After ensuring there were no signs of pursuers, Jiang Ming let out a sigh of relief.
"Everyone, please rest here for a moment," Jiang Ming said to the Experimental Subjects. "We will find a way to help you."
The Experimental Subjects nodded, their eyes filled with gratitude and trust. Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya began to communicate with them, learning about their experiences and needs. They discovered that these Experimental Subjects shared similar painful histories, but through mutual support, they had gradually built deep friendships.
"Did you know? During our time in captivity, we encouraged each other and supported one another," a young Experimental Subject said, determination shining in his eyes. "We believe that one day, we will regain our freedom."
Jiang Ming nodded, feeling a surge of admiration. "You are very brave and strong. We will do everything we can to help you return to a normal life."
At that moment, a mysterious figure quietly entered the factory. Dressed in a black trench coat and wearing sunglasses, he exuded an air of mystery. Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya noticed his arrival and cautiously approached him.
"Who are you? What are you doing here?" Jiang Ming asked coldly, instinctively clenching his fists.
The mysterious man removed his sunglasses, revealing a familiar face. Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya were astonished to recognize him as a scientist they had encountered at the Experimental Base.
"You know me?" the scientist looked at them, surprise flickering in his eyes. "I thought you wouldn't recognize me."
Jiang Ming furrowed his brow. "Why are you here? Do you intend to take us back?"
The scientist shook his head. "No, I'm not here to capture you. In fact, I came to help you."
Xiao Ya eyed him warily. "Why? Aren't you one of them?"
The scientist sighed. "I was once part of this Experiment Project, but I gradually realized the immorality and danger of this experiment. I cannot tolerate such things continuing, so I decided to help you."
Jiang Ming regarded him with skepticism. "Why should we trust you?"
The scientist pulled a USB drive from his pocket and handed it to Jiang Ming. "This contains all the data and records of the experiment, including the true identities of the scientists and specific details of the experiment. I believe this information is crucial for you."
Jiang Ming took the USB drive, filled with doubt and caution. He was unsure whether the scientist's words were genuine or what his true intentions might be.
"You can look at the contents first," the scientist said. "If you find this information useful, then we can collaborate further."
Jiang Ming nodded, deciding to review the contents of the USB drive before determining whether to trust this scientist. He plugged it into a computer and began browsing through the data.
As he examined the information, Jiang Ming's frown gradually relaxed. The data indeed contained detailed records of the experiment and the true identities of the scientists; this would be key evidence in exposing the truth behind the experiment.
"This data is extremely important for us," Jiang Ming told the scientist. "But why do you want to help us? Aren't you afraid of being discovered by them?"
A look of determination crossed the scientist's face. "I believe in justice; I believe everyone deserves their freedom and dignity. I cannot bear to see more Experimental Subjects harmed, so I decided to stand up and help you."
Jiang Ming nodded again, filled with gratitude. "Thank you; we will make good use of this data."
Xiao Ya looked at the scientist with a hint of confusion in her eyes. "What do you plan to do next?"
The scientist glanced around and lowered his voice, saying, "I will continue to gather more evidence and look for others willing to help you. You must be careful not to be discovered by them."
Jiang Ming nodded, knowing that with the scientist's assistance, they would have a better chance of exposing the truth behind the experiments and helping more Experimental Subjects regain their freedom.
"We will be careful," Jiang Ming replied. "Thank you, and I hope we can collaborate again."
The scientist nodded and turned to leave the factory. Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya watched his retreating figure, filled with complex emotions. They were uncertain of the scientist's true intentions and what challenges lay ahead, but they knew they had to press on—for those harmed by the experiments, for justice.
In the abandoned factory, Jiang Ming and Xiao Ya began planning their next steps alongside the Experimental Subjects. They understood that this was just the beginning, with more difficulties and challenges awaiting them, but they were ready. For the sake of truth and freedom, they would forge ahead with determination.
