Just when we were at a loss, the Red-eyed Nurse returned. 0

Her name was Yun Hui, and she brought dinner with her. 0

Once again, it was a plate of bloody meat chunks. 0

Lu Zhao and I exchanged wry smiles; it seemed we were in for another ordeal. 0

Fortunately, Yun Hui didn’t rush us to eat. Instead, she stood there with her arms crossed, watching us like last time. 0

Perhaps we had gotten used to it; this time it wasn’t as nauseating. 0

After we finished eating, Yun Hui left with a satisfied expression. 0

The following day was quiet, with nothing happening. 0

It wasn’t until around midnight that I was suddenly awakened by a piercing scream. 0

The sound seemed to be coming from just outside the door. 0

By the light of the moon, I saw that Lu Zhao had also woken up. 0

He waved at me and pointed toward the door. 0

I immediately understood his meaning and tiptoed over to the door. 0

Outside, there was a cacophony of voices, as if many people were screaming together. 0

Peering through the glass on the door, I saw a pair of blood-red eyes staring back at me. 0

"Ah!" 0

I screamed and stumbled backward. 0

I suddenly crashed into the wall. 0

It hurt so much! 0

Ignoring the pain, I hurriedly climbed onto the bed and wrapped myself in the blanket. 0

My whole body trembled violently. 0

The footsteps outside grew closer, finally stopping right in front of my bed. 0

I felt a pair of eyes staring at me. 0

Then, the blanket was yanked away. 0

I was so frightened that my soul nearly left my body. I covered my eyes and repeatedly begged for mercy, "I'm sorry! I'm sorry!" 0

"An Peng, have you lost your mind?" 0

Lu Zhao asked in confusion, not understanding what had happened. 0

I slowly lowered my hands and turned to look. 0

There stood Lu Zhao, looking at me with a puzzled expression. 0

I looked back at the glass window, and that pair of eyes had vanished. 0

"What’s going on?" 0

Lu Zhao was startled by my appearance and asked with concern. 0

"Nothing!" 0

I shook my head, still feeling shaken. "Remember! Between midnight and two o'clock, no matter what you hear, do not step out of the hospital room!" 0

"Huh?" 0

Lu Zhao looked at me in confusion. "Why?" 0

I shot him an annoyed glance. "Are you really that clueless?" 0

"Can’t you see?" 0

"There are monsters in this hospital!" 0

"They will find ways to lure us into opening the door, then torture and devour us." 0

Lu Zhao nodded thoughtfully. "I see." 0

"I think I just heard something in the corridor. Did you hear it?" 0

“No!” 0

Lu Zhao shook his head. “I’ve been wearing earplugs the whole time.” 0

I let out a sigh of relief. “Thank goodness you didn’t hear it!” 0

“Otherwise, we might already be dead!” 0

Lu Zhao nodded in agreement. 0

The next day, we both got out of bed with dark circles under our eyes. 0

What was meant to come would eventually arrive. 0

We had no idea what would happen next. 0

But we both knew that no matter what occurred, we could not leave this hospital room. 0

Suddenly, there was a knock at the door. 0

“Come in.” 0

A young girl entered, dressed in a nurse’s uniform, holding a registration form in her hand. 0

She was very pretty, looking to be around seventeen or eighteen years old. 0

I felt a surge of hope; perhaps this girl was not a monster after all. 0

Perhaps she could take us away from this hospital. 0

With that thought in mind, I couldn't hold back any longer. I jumped out of bed and rushed to her, grabbing her hand and pleading, "Please help us!" 0

Lu Zhao was startled by my sudden action. "An Peng! Are you crazy?" 0

I didn't have time to explain; I just held onto the nurse's hand tightly. 0

The nurse was clearly taken aback, looking at me in confusion. 0

"Nurse!" I said urgently, "If you can get us out of here, I will reward you handsomely!" 0

The young girl was so shocked that she couldn't utter a word. 0

"Will you do it or not?" 0

I was getting anxious. "Just say something!" 0

Lu Zhao had also regained her composure and stepped closer to me, asking, "Can you really take us out?" 0

The girl seemed frozen in fear, unable to respond at all. 0
