"Say something!"
I was almost frantic.
But then I suddenly noticed that the little girl's fingers were trembling, and her lips were turning purple.
There was a row of tiny needle marks on her lips.
It turned out that her lips had been sewn shut!
The next day, I took Lu Zhao to the hospital lobby, intending to observe the situation.
I noticed that there were noticeably fewer people in the hospital lobby.
However, there were quite a few more medical staff.
Their eye colors varied—some were red, some blue, and others green.
The normal people kept their distance from them.
Clearly, they were the monsters!
At that moment, I saw a girl in a white nurse's uniform picking up some documents off the floor not far away.
She looked very anxious, beads of sweat forming on her forehead.
Lu Zhao, being kind-hearted and unable to stand seeing others suffer, walked over to help her pick up the papers.
The girl took the documents and thanked him repeatedly, "Thank you!"
After saying that, she looked up at Lu Zhao.
That glance was enough to leave Lu Zhao stunned.
Because the girl's eyes suddenly became extraordinarily bright, and the corners of her mouth stretched back to her ears.
"You are so kind!"
She said in a sweet voice, "Can you give me your heart?"
With that, she reached out her hand towards Lu Zhao's chest.
Lu Zhao was startled and stepped back in fear.
Seeing the situation unfold, I quickly ran over and grabbed Lu Zhao, pulling him away.
Behind us came a roar, "You think you can escape?"
"Chase them!"
"I want his heart!"
At that moment, I realized the girl was also a monster!
The medical staff around us all began to pursue.
Meanwhile, the normal people chose to turn a blind eye.
Lu Zhao and I ran for our lives.
We dashed through one long corridor after another, up and down stairs, until we finally reached a door at the end of a hallway.
It read: "Enter the Green Door for shelter in case of danger."
"But no longer than five minutes."
That's right!
The message had mentioned this Green Door before.
I couldn't believe it actually existed!
I quickly opened the door, pulled Lu Zhao inside, and then shut it tightly, locking it behind us.
The space inside was small and dimly lit.
Only the sound of our heartbeats and breaths filled the air.
Yet, we dared not make a single noise.
We could hear footsteps approaching from outside, growing closer until they finally stopped right in front of our door.
"Strange!"
One voice said, "They clearly ran here just now. Where are they?"
Another voice replied, "Forget it, let’s just head back."
The footsteps gradually faded away until they were gone.
I let out a sigh of relief and slumped to the ground.
That was truly a brush with death!
Lu Zhao was equally frightened, gasping for breath.
"We can't stay here long," I said. "We need to hurry back!"
Lu Zhao nodded in agreement.
When we had come out, it was just past three in the morning; now it was already after four.
We still had over two hours until seven o'clock.
That should be enough time for us to get back.
So we quickly emerged from the Green Door and ran towards the ward.
In our panic, we unknowingly ended up on the fifth floor.
The fifth floor was the intensive care unit, usually a quiet place with few people around.
But we couldn't afford to think about that anymore; we just wanted to get back to the ward as quickly as possible.
At that moment, I spotted an elevator not far away.
We rushed into the elevator and pressed the button for the third floor.
However, just then, the elevator suddenly shook violently.
It then began to descend rapidly.
Lu Zhao and I clung tightly to the handrails, fear etched on our faces as we watched the elevator screen.
It displayed: "3... 2... -1..."
I was instantly terrified.
The message had once stated, "There is no Negative First Floor in the hospital."
In other words, the Negative First Floor did not exist.
Yet here we were, plummeting straight down to it!
This was it!
We were finished!
Lu Zhao and I exchanged a glance, and in that moment, we both saw the despair reflected in each other's eyes.
