In the rehearsal room, Li Xunwan and Zheng Kaiwen nestled together, immersed in the sweetness of first love. Li Xunwan wore a form-fitting black practice outfit that accentuated her graceful figure. Zheng Kaiwen's gaze frequently drifted to her slender waist and full chest, his eyes filled with affection and desire.
"Li Xunwan, you look beautiful today," Zheng Kaiwen whispered, his warm breath brushing against Li Xunwan's ear, causing her to shiver slightly.
Li Xunwan shyly lowered her head, fiddling with the bracelet on her wrist. "Thank you, you're handsome too," she replied softly, stealing glances at Zheng Kaiwen's strong arms and broad chest.
As they basked in their sweet moment, Xie Qinghuan pushed the door open, a hint of jealousy flashing in her eyes. Suppressing her inner displeasure, she forced a perfect smile.
"How was rehearsal today?" Xie Qinghuan asked elegantly, her gaze sweeping back and forth between the two.
"It went smoothly, Teacher Xie," Li Xunwan replied politely, instinctively pulling away from Zheng Kaiwen just a bit.
Xie Qinghuan nodded. "That's good. Zheng Kaiwen, can I speak with you for a moment?"
Zheng Kaiwen looked puzzled but followed Xie Qinghuan to the side. She lowered her voice, concern evident in her expression.
"Zheng Kaiwen, I saw something troubling," she hesitated before continuing. "It's about Li Xunwan."
Zheng Kaiwen furrowed his brow. "What do you mean?"
Xie Qinghuan sighed and pulled out a photograph from her bag. "I found this by accident. I think you should know."
Zheng Kaiwen took the photo, his expression darkening instantly. In the picture, Li Xunwan was intimately embraced by an unfamiliar man, his hand already reaching under Li Xunwan's skirt, the scene ambiguous and suggestive.
"This... this is impossible," Zheng Kaiwen murmured to himself, his eyes filled with disbelief and pain.
Xie Qinghuan timely comforted him, "I wish this were false too. But... you need to be careful."
Zheng Kaiwen clenched his fists and turned to Li Xunwan. "What is going on?" He threw the photo in front of Li Xunwan, his voice brimming with anger and accusation.
Li Xunwan looked bewildered. "What photo?" She glanced down and was instantly stunned. "This... this isn't real! I never..."
"Then what do you call this?" Zheng Kaiwen roared. "I was blind to believe you were sincere!"
Li Xunwan hurriedly explained, " Kevin, please listen to me, this must be a misunderstanding..."
"A misunderstanding?" Zheng Kaiwen scoffed. "Is the photo fake? Or are you going to say that's not you?"
Li Xunwan was on the verge of tears. "I truly don't know how this happened, please believe me..."
"Believe you?" Zheng Kaiwen's voice dripped with sarcasm. "I must be a fool."
A week passed, and Li Xunwan sat alone in the empty rehearsal room, her gaze blankly fixed on the props in the corner. Those items, once used during rehearsals with Zheng Kaiwen, now felt like silent mockery, reminding her of their sweet yet fleeting moments together.
Her slender fingers absentmindedly fiddled with the bracelet on her wrist as memories surged like a tide. Zheng Kaiwen's gentle smile, his strong arms, and the moment they almost kissed that day—all vivid yet painfully out of reach.
"Why has it come to this?" Li Xunwan murmured to herself, her voice filled with pain and confusion. She couldn't understand where that photo had come from. Why did Zheng Kaiwen believe it so easily, instead of trusting her?
Suddenly, her phone vibrated. Li Xunwan's heart raced, thinking it was Zheng Kaiwen finally reaching out to her. However, the screen displayed "Mom." She took a deep breath, suppressing her disappointment, and answered the call.
