I, Liu Ru Yan, a 21st-century independent designer, woke up to find myself in a novel, having become the sister of a Vicious Female Antagonist.
Such a thing would bewilder anyone, let alone someone like me, a truly independent woman from modern society.
At the moment I opened my eyes, I thought I was having an absurd dream until I clearly saw the scene before me—a magnificent banquet hall filled with elegantly dressed guests and the red wine glass I was holding high.
What was even more terrifying was that my body was uncontrollably moving toward a young girl in a white dress. She bore a striking resemblance to me but looked even more pitiful, tears glistening in her eyes.
Suddenly, a flood of unfamiliar memories surged into my mind, revealing that she was my sister, Liu Rumeng, and I was about to pour the red wine over her.
"Stop!" A cold male voice came from beside me, and a strong arm blocked the space between me and Liu Rumeng.
Only then did I see who had stopped me—Gu Han, the male lead of this novel and Liu Rumeng's future husband. He was indeed extraordinarily handsome, with sharp brows and bright eyes, his tall figure accentuated by a black suit that exuded charisma.
"Liu Ru Yan, you have gone too far!" Gu Han glared at me with disgust in his eyes. "Rumeng merely bumped into you accidentally. Is it necessary to humiliate her like this?"
People around us began to whisper and point fingers.
"Look, it's Liu Ru Yan bullying her sister again."
"I heard she's always been jealous of her sister and has been targeting her at every turn."

I stood there in shock, not only because of the sudden time travel but also because I realized I had become a Vicious Female Antagonist.
The memories in my mind told me that the original Liu Ru Yan was a pampered heiress who had grown up being adored. However, ever since her sister Liu Rumeng appeared in her life, her parents' attention gradually shifted. To make matters worse, the man she had secretly loved for years, Gu Han, had fallen head over heels for Liu Rumeng, which completely ignited her jealousy.

"This won't do," I shook my head, determined to change this destiny.
Since I had already crossed over into a character from a book, I intended to live well. Entangling myself with the male lead? Not happening. In the original story, Gu Han and Liu Rumeng were a match made in heaven; I had no interest in being the third party.
Moreover, as a modern independent woman, I had my own aspirations.
Early the next morning, I sought out my parents.
“Dad, Mom, I have a decision to share with you,” I said firmly as I sat at the dining table.
“What is it, Yan’er?” my father Liu Chengfeng set down his newspaper, while my mother Lin Ya also put down her teacup.
“I want to establish my own studio focused on fashion design.”
My parents exchanged glances, clearly surprised by my sudden change of heart.
“Didn’t you always want to join the family business?” my father asked in confusion.
“I’ve changed my mind,” I smiled. “I want to do something I love.”
“This... is too sudden,” my mother hesitated. “Are you sure?”
“Absolutely sure,” I nodded. “I already have some design ideas; I just need a bit of startup capital.”
After a moment of contemplation, my father nodded in agreement. I knew they had always been lenient with their eldest daughter; I just hadn’t expected them to agree so easily.
In the following days, I began sorting through the original owner's memories to gain a deeper understanding of this world and its plot trajectory.
It turned out this was an urban romance novel that primarily told the story of how Liu Rumeng grew strong amidst various challenges and ultimately achieved both career and love success. Meanwhile, I, Liu Ru Yan, was the Vicious Female Antagonist who constantly opposed the protagonist and ultimately reaped what she sowed.
However, now the plot had been altered by me.
What shocked me even more was discovering that I seemed to possess a "wish fulfillment" ability. When I strongly desired something to happen, it truly came to pass.
For instance, when I wanted a cup of coffee, the next second a servant walked into my room carrying it; when I wished to find a specific design book, I turned around and found it right there on the shelf.
But every time I use this ability, I feel an unusual fatigue and even temporarily lose some memories. This made me realize that this "Golden Finger" comes at a cost.
"I must use it cautiously," I told myself.
I began to secretly observe Liu Rumeng and Gu Han's interactions. Liu Rumeng was indeed as kind and innocent as described in the book, but she also seemed overly dependent on Gu Han, lacking the ability to think independently.
Gu Han, on the other hand, was the typical Domineering CEO, showering Liu Rumeng with care while subtly restricting her growth.
"Rumeng needs to learn to be independent instead of relying on Gu Han all the time," I pondered. "Perhaps I can help her grow and prevent her from becoming love-struck."
I decided to start changing myself, focusing on my career development while looking for opportunities to guide Liu Rumeng.
After all, since I had already crossed over into this character, I wanted to live a different life.
No longer the vicious female antagonist, but rather an independent woman with my own aspirations.
As for that ability to make wishes come true, I would use it cautiously at critical moments.
