"The door..." Zhou Yue murmured to herself, "is it the one beneath the stone tablet?" 0

Yang Su picked up the broken jade pendant. It was only half intact, with dark marks at the fracture. On the back, a few small characters were engraved: " Demon-Sealing and Evil-Subduing Spell, forever sealing Difu." 0

"This jade pendant," he said, "is a pair with the copper coin in my hand. Your father mentioned it in his notes..." 0

He flipped to the back of the notes: 0

"Behind that door lies an ancient demon. Legend has it that it is a Demon Creature from ancient times, devouring lives and committing all sorts of evil. The White-Clad Witch was originally responsible for suppressing it, but her ambition grew too great; she wanted to control this demon. 0

When the court discovered this, they sealed both it and the White-Clad Witch with specially crafted copper coins and jade pendants. However, before the White-Clad Witch died, she set a contingency plan, merging a fragment of her soul with the essence of the demon, creating an existence like mine. 0

Her goal was to forge a perfect vessel capable of containing all her power. This vessel is..." 0

The subsequent writing was blurred, but enough to send chills down one's spine. 0

"So," Zhou Yue's voice trembled, "am I that vessel?" 0

"Not just a vessel," Yang Su replied. "Do you remember what your mother said in her letter? She mentioned that you are different from others." 0

He picked up a photograph. In it was a younger Wang Lanzhi standing in front of the clock tower. Strangely, however, the clock tower in the photo looked different from its reflection—the reflection showed a figure standing atop the clock tower. 0

"Your mother has a bloodline of clairvoyance, while your father is the reincarnation of the White-Clad Witch's soul. The combination of these two bloodlines created an unprecedented existence." 0

"Me?" 0

"Yes. You can see spiritual entities and control them. The White-Clad Witch chose your mother for this reason..." 0

Suddenly, a muffled sound echoed from afar. They turned towards the source and saw black smoke rising from the direction of the clock tower. 0

"This is bad!" Yang Su stood up. "The copper coin and jade pendant are here; the seal might..." 0

"Be weakening," Zhou Yue interjected. "I can feel it. The demon's essence is awakening." 0

They hurried towards the clock tower. Zhang San Shui was absent; instead, a stranger stood guard. Upon seeing them approach, the young man made a token effort to block their way: "You can't..." 0

A flash of blue light flickered in Zhou Yue's eyes, and instantly, the young man froze in place before collapsing straight down. 0

"What did you just do?" 0

"I told you, I can control them," Zhou Yue replied. "He's not human; he's an informant sent by those things underground." 0

They walked into the bell tower, the iron gate of the Underground Passage wide open. A damp breeze blew up from below, carrying with it a familiar stench of decay. 0

Descending the steps, the symbols around them still emitted a faint glow. But for some reason, that light had turned blood red. Black liquid seeped from the stone walls, releasing a strong metallic odor. 0

“Be careful,” Zhou Yue said. “They know we’re here.” 0

As soon as she spoke, a rustling sound came from the passage ahead. A shadowy figure crawled out from the corner, gradually revealing its shape—it was humanoid, but its body was twisted and deformed, as if something had taken root within it. 0

“Dad…” Zhou Yue recognized the figure as Zhou Deming. 0

But it was clearly not human. Its body was half solid and half an ethereal shadow. Strange flames flickered in its eyes, and something writhed beneath its skin. 0

“ Yue'er …” it rasped, “Dad has been waiting for you for a long time…” 0
