In the evening, the elegantly dressed dignitaries began to arrive at the Concert Hall, a Western-style building constructed in the early years of the Republic. Shen Tong wrapped herself in a deep blue embroidered cloak and slowly walked into the Concert Hall. Following the instructions on her invitation, she found her seat—right in the center of the front row facing the stage. 0

"Miss Shen, I'm glad you could make it. Where is Mr. Lin?" a gentle voice spoke beside her. Shen Tong turned to see Mo Wen standing next to her, bowing slightly. 0

"Mr. Mo's kind invitation is not something I could refuse. Lin Mingchang is caught up with some matters and will arrive later," Shen Tong replied with a smile. 0

"I hope tonight's performance brings Miss Shen a unique experience," he said, nodding gently before turning to leave for the backstage. 0

Shen Tong glanced around and spotted Lin Mingchang standing by the exit on her left. Their eyes met, and he subtly nodded, indicating that everything was fine. Not far away, Fang Zigui was engaged in lively conversation with several gentlemen. As for Xiaoshuang, Shen Tong looked around but did not see her; she must have successfully infiltrated the backstage. 0

The seats in the Concert Hall gradually filled up with guests—local elites, political and business leaders, cultural figures, wealthy merchants, and even a few high-ranking military officers in uniform. Suddenly, the lights in the Concert Hall dimmed, and stage lights illuminated as a melodious ancient prelude began to play, bringing silence to the audience. 0

Mo Wen, dressed in traditional attire, walked slowly to the center of the stage and bowed to the audience. "Esteemed guests, tonight I will present you with a once-in-a-millennium feast—the long-lost 'Emperor's Konghou' will be revived this evening." 0

Thunderous applause erupted as Mo Wen gestured for two assistants to step forward and unveil a large Ancient Konghou covered by a white veil. The Ancient Konghou had an unusual shape and was entirely bronze-colored, with intricate patterns carved into its body. 0

"Tonight, I will perform an ancient piece titled 'Gui Xu Yin,'" Mo Wen continued. "It is said that this piece can connect with the energies of heaven and earth, reaching out to all spirits and elevating one's soul to an unprecedented state of clarity." 0

With that, he gently raised his hand, releasing subtle fragrances into the air that piqued everyone's curiosity about their origin. Mo Wen leaned down to caress the Konghou and softly said, "Let us begin." 0

Shen Tong immediately discreetly put on Zigui's specially made earplugs while Mo Wen gently plucked the strings under everyone's gaze. The first note resonated—its sound pierced through to the soul. 0

The melody of 'Gui Xu Yin' was extraordinarily enigmatic; at times it wept and lamented, at others it soared with fervor. Even through her earplugs, Shen Tong felt a powerful force penetrating her defenses directly into her mind. She saw that with each leap of Mo Wen's fingertips, the Death Qi and malevolent energy from the Konghou danced along with him like countless fine serpents spreading towards the audience below. 0

The strange, fragrant smoke grew thicker, enveloping the entire hall. Soon, Shen Tong noticed that the political and business elites seated in the front row began to show signs of abnormality—expressions gradually becoming dazed, their gazes increasingly vacant. 0

As Mo Wen's subordinate played the melody of Gui Xu Yin, reaching a crescendo, Shen Tong felt a sharp pain in her right eye, tears streaming down her face involuntarily. 0

Strangely enough, this stinging sensation was not entirely unpleasant; rather, it felt as if a certain power was awakening within her eye, amplifying her Wang Qi ability several times over. She could now see the flowing aura with remarkable clarity—these wisps of smoke intertwined with the breath emitted by the Konghou, weaving an invisible net in the air that ensnared all the listeners within it. 0
