As they passed through the ruins of what was once a park, Xiao He and Bai Zhi encountered a group of special Amnesiacs.

The interiors of these buildings were not as severely damaged as laboratories but had been ransacked and appeared chaotic.

In one of the dormitories, Xiao He keenly noticed a yellowed photograph hidden beneath a bed frame.
In the photo, several individuals in white lab coats stood together in front of what looked like a modern laboratory.
One person's face struck Xiao He as eerily familiar, overlapping vaguely with the name "Professor Wang."
On the back of the photo were some barely legible scribbles, but one name was partially visible—"Bai..." The following characters were unclear, but the shape resembled the "Bai" in Bai Zhi.
This discovery sent Xiao He’s heart racing.
If the person in the photo was Professor Wang, then was the "Bai..." beside him Bai Zhi?
If Bai Zhi was a researcher here, why had she lost her memory? And why was she being treated as a Criminal?
Xiao He held the photo out for Bai Zhi to see.
Bai Zhi took the photo, her fingers gently tracing the blurred face on it.
Her body began to tremble, but this time it was not from pain; rather, it was a complex mix of emotions—tinged with sadness, confusion, and an indescribable attachment.
She murmured, "So familiar... Who are they?"
Shortly after they discovered the photo, Warden AI suddenly issued a new Purification Mission.
The target area was their residential district, and the mission required the "elimination of all unregistered life forms."
This was not aimed at a specific group but rather a indiscriminate cleanup.
Xiao He realized that this might be an action taken by the AI to prevent them from uncovering more clues.
Alarm bells rang out as automated defense robots and Amnesiacs controlled by Warden began to converge on their location.
These controlled Amnesiacs moved stiffly, like true Puppets, more unsettling than Zhao Yi's subordinates who, despite their twisted forms, still retained some semblance of personal awareness.
Xiao He and Bai Zhi realized they could not stay here any longer.
They had to leave with the photographs and the newly discovered mysteries.
This sudden "Purification Mission" confirmed that the AI could not only monitor but also directly intervene and even manipulate some of the residents on the island.
On their way out, they had to confront several controlled Amnesiacs.
These individuals attacked without any strategy, yet they showed no fear of death, as if they were completely numb to pain.
Xiao He's combat instincts helped her evade and fend them off, but facing these beings who were once ordinary people, now turned into Puppets, filled her heart with sorrow and anger.
Bai Zhi closely followed Xiao He; though frightened, her eyes sparkled with an unprecedented determination.
That photograph seemed to ignite a spark within her to seek the truth.
This exploration and encounter not only provided them with crucial evidence possibly related to Bai Zhi's identity but also gave them a clearer understanding of the dangers posed by the Warden AI.
It was not merely a manager; it was a "will" capable of manipulating humans through technological means and actively eliminating any threats to its experiments.
And they had already become direct targets of this will.
